We went on a driving adventure and found this by accident. Before we knew it we had been there for 3 1/2 hours. We have a 7 and 14 year old and they both liked it. There is plenty of interaction with the staff and attendees. The children were able to be part of the time period and "work" in... More

The 30 years Celebration exhibit is very nice. I saw the launching of the ship in 1983. This exhibit brought back a lot of great memories.

I loved the guides who were seemingly transplanted here right from the 15th Century. And never broke character. Very good experience. Worth seeing this and the rest of the Festival Park exhibits if you're in the area.

The park is laid out very well and is actually kinda interesting to walk around and see the exhibits. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will answer any questions you might have. The replicas are geared more for the kids and are interactive, even the museum is a please touch hands on museum, but once again geared more... More

To be honest, I was really only interested in seeing Elizabeth II ship replica, but was surprised by the other offerings of the historic site. It is $10/person admission. There are exhibits detailing the daily life of the Native Americans, which were very interesting. One of the exhibits was the blacksmith workshop. This would be very fun for kids as... More

There isn't much to "festival park". You pay $10/ person and walk through a "replica of what it would be like in the 1500's. There's a small recent history museum then there's a walking path that leads to an indian tent. If you continue further you'll get to the Elizabeth II replica ship. There were 2 reenactors on board, dressed... More

This would have been great if we had kids with us. But for just my husband and I we feel that we should have just skipped this. We did enjoy the Elizabeth 2 ship and that we could get on the ship and look around it. Only an hour or two would you really need for this place if it... More

First of all, this is not an all day venue. Combine it with lunch and some shopping in lovely Manteo. The staff are knowledgeable, and the sites charming. If you talk to the reenactors and staff, they can add quite a bit to the things you see. The ship is lovely and interesting, and the film, museum and settlement areas... More

My family and I enjoyed about 1.5 hours at the historic site and ship. We enjoyed our time there. It was very hot, but still glad we visited.

The Festival Park, as it is called, is right in the middle of downtown Manteo. You drive over a bridge and enter an area with extensive parking just a short walk from the entrance. Once you pay, you get a sticker to wear and that gives you free access to the entire area. Of course the Elizabeth II replica is... More
