Friendly staff and quaint town. We found this gallery disappointing though. What is there can be seen very quickly. The building has a musty odor, it's old. We found much better quality art and galleries on the beach where we were staying.

The Arts concil provides a great space for local artists to display works in many differnet media. They are a great asset to our community and supportive of as many different artistic outlets as they can handle!

This is a wonderful place for local art in a wide price range . They have everything from greeting cards, inexpensive handcrafted jewelry, to large paintings. I love their FIRST FRIDAY CELEBTATIONS!

I don't want to spoil the surprise but plan to visit with 5.00 for a special treat. The gallery is small but very quaint. The staff is friendly and the art is wonderful. They have a mix of mediums from painting, jewelry, knitted items, paper ache sculptures that you have to see to believe. There is a monthly revolving exhibit... More

We were impressed with the selection of art from local artists and the quality for the price. We only wish that we saw more of what we were looking for: local lighthouses. We would return on a future visit to see what new additions they are offering.

Many creative local and not so local artists, photographers and jewelry makers have their work on display and for sale at the Aerts Council. Some of the art is beach oriented (which is what a lot of people are looking for when visiting a beach area) but there is diversity in the art work on display. I like to stroll... More

We thought this was at best an average art co-op. Almost exclusively "beachy" type art, nothing here was even remotely of interest to purchase. If you are in Manteo it is worth a 10 minute browse.

Manteo is a quiet, quaint sound side town located on Roanoke Island, Outer Banks of North Carolina. Many enjoyable shops, restaurants, art galleries and historical sites, First Fridays are celebrated on the waterfront with vendors, free entertainment featuring bands, orchestras & singers.
