We went on the pirate adventure late august and had a blast. My two year old could not (and still can't) stop laughing about pirate Pete and how he threw his pickles at our ship. We still have our treasure. It was fantastic! We even saw dolphins while cruising the bay. Kids are kept busy while parents can relax and... More

After reading the reviews we thought we were in for an exciting day but what a waste of time. After being issued his pirate vest & a terrible tattoo we sailed off on a tug boat with 2 people who claimed to be pirates. It was hard to tell since they were wearing Tshirts & jeans. Not sure if we... More

We went with a rather large group, there were 13 of us which included Grand Parents, Parents, and Children ages 3-7. A terrific time was had by all! The kids were dazzled by their Pirate names and loved getting their "tattoos". The staff was wonderful and kept the kids and parents entertained. It was such a nice day when we... More

Pirate Adventures kept our 3 daughters (6 year old twins and a 3 year old) completely engaged from the moment we checked in. Upon checking in the girls were given pirate names and decked out in pirate garb and tattoos, then once all the kids were appropriately attired they were given a pirate lingo lesson and all the mates sneaked... We took 4 kids 4-9 and they all had a fabulous time. It's a great value and an experience they won't soon forget. From their tatoos to the interaction with the staff it was well done...one of the highlights of their trip I am sure. We would totally go again.

A really good choice for your young kids. We have a 4 and 6 year old and they absolutely adored it. My four year old is still wandering around the house squinting and yelling 'Arg, me mateys.' It begins with getting 'tattoos' and face paint moustaches and they are given a pirate vest to wear. Hats, eyepatches and swords can... More

This was money well spent. Perfectly geared for kids age 3 - 8, the crew had activities and drama planned for the entire time. Hilarious, well planned, attention to detail - I would HIGHLY recommend this. :) Thanks to Matey Twig, the evil Pirate Pete, and Captain Chum!

We took our 5 grandkids, ages 3-9. The activities were excellent and children were fully engaged the entire time. We loved sitting in the back and watching them have so much fun. The crew, and especially "twig" were WONDERFUL. Really kept the kids busy, active and engaged. Great value

One of the best attractions on Roanoke Island for children is The Pirate Adventures of the Outer Banks. Children are engaged from the very beginning of this 1 1/2 + hour pirate excursion on Shallowbag Bay in Manteo. They are assigned pirate names and painted with clever pirate " tattoos" before they " walk the plank" to board the ship.... More

Happened upon this Pirate Adventure, wanting to do something mid-week during our vacation at the beach. This was awesome! Kids, 5 and 2.3 LOVED this. Thet were kinda beached-out, this was a perfect outing! Very kid friendly, parents don't have to do anything but take pictures! Staff entertains kids, are goofy, and involve kids on the boat with a map... More
