We did this a couple of years ago on my son's first trip to OBX. He loved it!! The staff was great with the kids. I've recommended it to several friends.

I took my husband and my stepsons to the Outer Banks for the first time in July 2011. I wanted to do something fun to break up the week. I found out about the Pirate Adventures on Trip Advisor just before we left. We had the best time. Our boys had soo much fun. 9 months later and they are...

We had a 9 yr old girl, and boys 6, 4 and 2. Everyone enjoyed the adventure, including the adults. Plan on spending some time in the town shops and restaurants also. Manteo is a beautiful place and the Pirate Adventure was magical!

I have not been on this, but I walk my dog at the waterfront, so I get to watch this from the shore. You always know they are nearby then you hear the children's laughter, or the "little pirates" responding to the captain. Once, we were sailing near the boat and the kids kept ducking down. When we got closer,...

Seriously adults, don't be so uptight. The 2 person crew had me laughing a lot, and kept the kids engaged. But the other adults.... I thought I was at a memorial service or something. Enough with that.
As many have said, most kids have a great time with this. It may be too much for a 3 year old, depends...

We have a 10 and 9 year old. They were the oldest in the group but loved it. The people running it did a great job, very entertaining we worth the money.

If you really want a memory maker, you have to try this attraction out. These poor pirates have to do this multiple times a day, but they give it their all!! They face paint the kids, and provide vests to help the kids get into character, but there is also a gift shop where you can buy a pirate eye...

Our 3 children, ages 2, 4 and 6, had an absolute blast on this pirate adventure! The staff was great, engaged the children every step of the way from tattos to dressing up to staving off "pirate pete" with water canons (my boys' favorite part), finding the treasure and sharing "grog" pulled up from the depths of the sound. The...

I took my 7 year old. She had a blast. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. The staff was amazing with the kids. I would recommend this to anyone with young kids.

The price for this adventure is somewhat high, at $20 per person, but you do get about 2 hours of entertainment and it is well worth it. First, you go early so the kids can get dressed up like pirates and get their face painted. They do sell accessories there like patches and swords and you will find most kids...
