Incredible performances and directing, I am a Camera. Children's play, Surfside Snoops, fantastically entertaining. Amazing acting and hilarious fun.

We've been to shows here two years in a row. This year we saw the recent production of "I Am a Camera", and last year "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". We are veterans of New York theater as well as seasonal theater in Massachusetts, and I'm comfortable saying that the shows we saw at the W.H.A.T. were very well... More

"I Am a Camera, for which Julie Harris won a Tony in 1951, is an interesting play about Berlin in 1930. Single set with a small cast of characters. The play is worth seeing because the actress playing the main character of Sally Bowles, Ruby Wolf, is riveting.

I've been to the WHAT theater for many productions and I've never been disappointed! Always cutting edge, make you think, make you laugh, type entertainment. Top notch equity actors hook you into the story and take you away. This should certainly be a destination theater now that the new Julie Harris stage on route 6 sets the tone for a... More

Been a few times over the years including the current run of Cat on A Hot Tin Roof . Its such a small and intimate venue that you are so close to the actors and that really brings the performances to life. Worth a visit every time and a fantastic way to spend a few hours doing something different.

Be sure to stop at WHAT when you're on the Cape. We had no idea what we were in for and had not expected the caliber of performance that we enjoyed. This is a lovely small theatre where every seat is a good one. We purchased more expensive seats (still a great value) but in retrospect we could have spent... More

We love the WHAT on most occasions. We went on Saturday night to beat the oppressive heat. The staff were, as always, accommodating and pleasant, the ambience was lovely, the theater is beautiful (no bad seats). The play (6 characters in search of an author) was, in a word, awful. We had bought the cheap seats and are very glad... More

THis is a great theater. They don'tmake them like this anymore. It is very small and the productions are very professional. I have never been in such an intimate theater and the experience is one that is not often had in this day and age where theaters are really complexes and nothing is live.

The WHAT theater usually hosts theatrical productions, we saw the George Gritzbach Band there. The theater seated about a hundred and we were in the third row, almost face to face with the performers! The seating was comfortable, the staff at the ticket office freindly and helpful - WHAT was a wonderful experience. We'll definitely consider a future performance there.
