If you like walking its a great place to walk with the family and explore the area. We come up to the Cape twice a year and always walk around the Audobon

We joined the Mass Audubon Society in late June 2014 in order to get a discount on the Nauset Marsh cruise that the society sponsors. The membership gave us free admission to the nature center plus a 10% discount at the gift shop. My husband and I enjoyed the marsh cruise. Our daughter, who is 13, was bored with the... More

I was not made to feel welcome here. There were no butterflies in the "butterfly garden". The "aquarium" is a couple of tanks which could fit in a home. The view of the bay, from one of the hikes was pretty, but not worth going out of the way for.

Went with our 7 year olds. they had some binoculars for all of us to borrow. great info sheets and activity sheets for the kids as well as a large indoor education center for the kids. Even works for a rainy day since they have a large window from the Ed center overlooking 5 birdfeeders, so from indoors you can... More

The Massachussetts Aududon Society operates this conservation area right on the Bay side of the Cape. A delightful one-mile+ walk puts you in touch with the rich natural environment of the Atlantic Coast. A pond and a stream bring fresh-water aquatic life into view. A newly developed eel sanctuary has been built to entice them to come in for breeding... More

Each time I come to Wellfleet this is a place I long to go, either late in the day or early in the morning, it is very special, although it is wonderful at any time of day. In the summer, you walk through gardens to get to the beach. You can travel through the pine woods, along the marsh, or... More

The Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary is a must see if you enjoy bird watching, hiking and just being outdoors. They have a main building with exhibits set up, my grandchildren enjoy all of these and they have large windows that look out into the woods with birdfeeders. You can sit and watch the birds that come and go or you can... More

My wife and I loved this place! There are all sorts of trails, habitats, birds and wildlife. Lots of benches so you can rest or just admire your surroundings and many great places to take photographs.

Full of birds and flowers. Amazing variety of habitats, ever changing parade of birds. Everything from shorebirds to warblers comes here. Orchids in the Spring. Terrapins lay their eggs and volunteers watch the nests. Rare Prairie warbler is common. Birding best in April-May, July- October. Rare salt marsh Sparrow nests here.
