A great place to visit in spring and fall for the bird migrations, and summer is enjoyable, as well. There are several naturalists at strategic points to point out the flora and fauna. The museum is very interesting, and there is a small bookstore/gift shop.

A great take in. Good for family or whomever. Go at low tide it is a much better experience. Not just for bird lovers.

The Wellfleet Bay sanctuary welcomes all ages with a visitors' center hosted by knowledgeable and pleasant staff and volunteers. Did you forget your field guide? Pick one up in the gift shop. What to learn about the flora/fauna before you head onto the trail? Study up at the nature studies part of the building. Whether you are bringing young children... More

Spent about 4 hours walking the trails out to the beach, wonderful place just to relax and enjoy nature. The visitors center is also a great place to learn about the wildlife on the cape.

A delightful natural setting with easy walks through several ecosystems. As expected it shows off the unique Cape Cod marshes. Also wanders through coastal woodlands and freshwater ponds.

A serene and lovely sanctuary to walk in forests and by salt marshes and the bay. Easy trails, photogenic views and quiet.

It was a lovely walk, but we didn't see many birds or animals. It had rained a bit earlier in the day, so I'm not sure if that was part of the reason we didn't see any wildlife. It is obviously very well-tended, and if you enjoy nature walks, you would probably like it here.

Large area of saltmarshes and wooded areas, with man made trails. Birds and mammals in abundance due to non interference from man, except for the trails which you are expected to follow. If you are fit it's about 5 miles to walk the whole way round, it's quite level anyway. You can walk right out to the seashore, but not... More

This Audubon Sanctuary is worth a two-hour traffic jam at the bridge. It's on a stunningly beautiful piece of bay-side - marsh, tide-water, typical (but unspoiled) cape woodland. Not to be missed.
