Great beach. Bring your shorts. We forgot. Have to love dogs running free and enjoying themselves chasing balls, swimming, wrestling with each other. Worth the stop!

Just around the corner from Brighton Beach on Point Loma, this beach offers an extended walk off leash for dogs, humans too. Plenty of parking available. Not very many folk or dogs in January on a weekday.

Our Boxer loved it, she had a blast playing with all the dogs. The beach was clean, dogs can swim in the ocean waves or the calm water of the inlet. This is one of a few places dogs can run free and they do run in packs all having a blast! Make sure to visit this place if you... More

One of the few places that me and our dogs can wander, run, play, sniff, swim, etc for hours! There are some nuisances with some big dogs but nothing major. One thing that I don't like is that the restrooms are way far from the main walk so go before you settle down with your family.

Nice deep sandy beach with small deep waves to play in. Sunset was nice. Right next to a grassy dog park.

We went to San Diego 4th of July and we brought our dog with us... We came across this beach by accident and OMG we loved it!!!! Tooons of dogs, clean beach and beautiful sight!!!! We went only one day and that day was amazing... No problems with other dogs or other dog owners!!! We will definitely come back

Dog Beach is a good spot to surfing. But the fact of having dogs on the beach is something that really didn't make me comfortable. It smells like dog piss.. there's a lot of dogs running around and getting into the sea. I knew that before I get there, but I was just wanting to see how it was.. and... More

Went here with my friend, to let her dog see beach and sea for first time. Took our shoes off to walk to sea. Didn't get very far. Some of the people who go here should be banned from taking their dogs. How can you let your dogs do their business, and not CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG???? It was... More

Cool place to let your dogs run free (no leash required) but so many people don't pick up after their dogs that it smells so bad now. It is right on the beach and it ruins the area. I won't go back. I saw a dog get hurt the last time I was there by another dog.

Great place for dogs and people who love dogs. Dogs get to run free and play in the sand and water. People are the one draw back. There are a few people who don't watch their dogs and clean up after an "accident". Most dogs get along but every once in a while someone with no brains will bring an... More
