little to no parking, but beautiful overlook of San Diego city and the mountains. My ex- is buried there and so are several of my uncles. it's a peaceful place just to wander and think on the loss of so many young (and not so young) men and women who have given so much for their country

Such a gorgeous setting for a National Cemetery ... the markers were perfectly aligned overlooking the beautiful blue ocean as the flags flew above and the waves rolled in. What a perfect reminder of what they all gave for our freedom!

Whenever I see one of our national cemeteries it chokes me up to think about our national heroes who gave their lives in protection of our country.

The Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is the perfect memorial to those who have given all for their country. Nestled on the hill atop Point Loma it has a beautiful view of San Diego and the ocean. The rows of headstones make you stop and contemplate the number of those who have been lost. Fair Winds and Following Seas to those... More

This beautifully manicured memorial clings to the cliffs overlooking San Diego and tragically stretches on and on and on. Way too many young people lay buried here ... but if you have paid the ultimate sacrifice there can be few more perfect final resting places.

The view from here is awesome of San Diego Harbor and the Pacific on the other side. This is a great stop after a stop in Point Loma. This is the final resting place for both my in-laws with many memories.

This will be a very short review. We found the cemetery on our way out to the lighthouse. Entering onto the grounds one is struck with the silent beauty of the rows and rows of crosses and Stars of David that cover the grass. Walls of urn's are placed throughout the property and overlook the fields of crosses. What is... More
