We were on the 25 Places to See in San Diego self-guided tour and Fort Rosecrans Cemetery was on the list. The peaceful manicured grounds made it easy to slow down and take time to reflect on the steadfast patriotism of our dedicated armed forces. Please go across the road to see both sides of the 77.5 acre national cemetery.... More

On our visit to Point Loma we drove through one of the sections of this beautiful cemetery containing the graves of over 101,000 men and women who have served our country so that we could have the freedoms that we all enjoy. The images of those head stones is so clear in my mind even today as they overlook the... More

So moving and beautiful. We had no idea this place was there after several trips to San Diego. After this we drove on down to Cadrillo monument and that wonderful history lesson

I am a military veteran of three wars and three "stabilization" actions so this place has a special place in my heart.

This cemetery overlooks the ocean. It is beautiful, peaceful, and powerful. A nice touch is that there is a do it yourself grave-site locator.

This cemetery is so impressive. The whole area is very well done and I am so grateful for our veterans for the service they have provided so that I can be free. The views are gorgeous and the mood is so somber.

On your way to the Point Loma Lighthouse, you pass through this lovely view point. Visit both sides to get the view and maybe you can find a family member who fought for our country. No cost to drive through, relax and reminisce.

We drove by the place and decided to stop by and check out the cemetery. Very interesting experience, reading about all the service men and women and their loved ones.

Just saw this driving buy and took a few pictures. Location is peaceful and cemetery is HUGE! 101,059 grave sites!
