This will be a very short review. We found the cemetery on our way out to the lighthouse. Entering onto the grounds one is struck with the silent beauty of the rows and rows of crosses and Stars of David that cover the grass. Walls of urn's are placed throughout the property and overlook the fields of crosses. What is... More

Having family members buried here, you will see the lovely view but also respect the dedication these people gave to make us free and happy!

We've been to San Diego many times - and have even visited the Point Loma lighthouse. But we've never taken the time to visit the cemetery. All I can say is wow! So much history and amazing views of the bay and ocean. What a great tribute to our veterans and their families. This is definitely the Arlington National Cemetery... More

This is a breath taking and emotional place. As a British tourist this is not a thought provoking experience I have encountered at home. We looked at the very straight rows of white headstones and were overcome. The site is in the most marvellous position. It allows us time to quietly thank those men and women who gave their lives... I come here as often as I can to pay respect to my grandparents, and the cemetery is a place of peace. You can see Coronado and the harbor from the top of the hill, and watch the naval ships . The whole atmosphere is quiet but it's not heavy like other cemetery's sometimes feel. It's a nice place to... More

Honor those who served by walking the pristine rows of headstones overlooking the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. Take time to wander the rows and read the inscriptions to learn about the brave men and women who faithfully served our country. The northeast corner of the cemetary has the oldest and arguably most interesting inscriptions... More

Beautiful and breathtaking. Next to Arlington, nothing compares to Ft. Rosecrans and the surroundings on Point Loma.

Beautiful and serene place. Many interesting stories about our military there. Bring a camera and respect.

I recently attended a memorial service at Rosecrans and was so shocked at the way it is done. The family was told before hand that they had only 30 minutes outside to do the service but when we arrived, they were told that it was 20 minutes. We were told to park in one area and then told to move... More

I always enjoy coming here to pay my respects or those who gave there lives for our freedom. A beautiful setting overlooking the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. It is taken care of beautifully.
