What a beautiful place to spend eternity. Million dollar views for our fallen war heros! The grounds were lovely and well kept, it was easy to look up your deceased family members so you can visit their gravesites. Peaceful views of the Pacific on one side and San Diego Harbor on the other.

You can tell the crew takes a lot of pride in this facility. I would say this is a top 10 cemetery in the world. You can't buy views like this!

A military cemetery next to Cabrillo National Monument, it is a beautiful place to spend a few moments thinking about the thousands of men and women who served our country in the military, while admiring the landscape and views in which they will spend eternity.

On Point Loma, along the drive to Cabrillo Monument, is Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery – at the site of an old Army artillery station, Fort Rosecrans. It sits on both the seaward and San Diego Bay flanks of Point Loma looking out over the Pacific Ocean on one side, with a panoramic view of San Diego Bay on the other.... More

Even if you do not have a loved one there, still see this great place where all Our Hero's are at. I took some flowers with me and put one on many makers to say 'Thank You" for your Service. So if your going, Please take flowers and as you walk around, place a flower on a makers, have a... More

It is a beautiful military cemetery when in and of itself makes it very special. One does not get a sense of loss until you see something like this. It overlooks San Diego Bay

It is a National Cemetery and you just want to remain quiet while there. Leaving the cemetery you can then go to the top of the hill to really enjoy a view of San Diego and its surrounding area

The proud women and men who are forunate enough to spend their final slumber here are already enjoying a piece of heaven. A shame this cementrary is now filled, the new one at mira mar will never be able to compete.

Like visiting Arlington, a visit here reminds you of everything great about America and those Americans who served and demonstrated that greatness. The setting is the most beautiful national cemetery I have encountered with unparalleled views of San Diego and the Pacific. Everyone should pay a visit and say thank you to all who lie here.

It may seem odd to visit a cemetery without intending to attend a service or visit someone's grave but this sacred place sits high atop the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the end of the point. The views stretch north and south and back to the city. Beyond the view, the rows and rows of white, perfectly aligned, matching... More
