I did not know that there was a military cemetery by Cabrillo Park/Point Loma. This cemetery is high up on the hill that the view these graves have looking down on San Diego is incredible. If you get a chance, just stop for a few minutes to take in this sacred ground.

I recently attended a funeral here and it was my first visit. This is a beautiful cemetery, so incredibly peaceful. I’ve been to Arlington and I really think this is a close tie for stunning beauty.

On a personal note, I loved the fact that my husband was finally able to visit and see where his biological father was laid to rest.

The cemetery is situated upon a hilltop with amazing views of San Diego and the harbor. It is also close to Cabrillo National Monument and tide pools.

Don't miss going by and visiting the cemetery. Located outside of Cabrillo State Park, it is quite magnificent.; like a small scale Arlington Cemetery.

Fort Rosecrans is a beautiful Cemetery that overlooks the entrance of the San Diego Bay and Harbor at the tip of Point Loma. A peaceful, serine place that you can collect your thoughts and give thanks to all the men and women who sacrificed for this great country. A fantastic place where you can watch the ships and aircraft enter... More

Fort Rosecrans Cemetery was closer than I thought it was so I decided to drive over there and pay my respects to the men & women, who served in the U.S. military. As others have said, the views are outstanding.
