We came her last Saturday to watch Wicked which was awesome!!! I know a lot of people are leery about driving and parking downtown, but getting to the Civic Theater was easy. Also, there are tons of parking lots in the area. We parked up the street a block away and it was $10. The Civic Theater has their own... More

There is nothing to beat live theatre and the San Diego Civic (Broadway) Theatre is as good as it gets..... I usually attend 3/4 times a year, live out of town, but it is a must long weekend..... The production was "Wicked" and if you have not seen it, it is definitely worth it..... can't wait for the next time.....

We went to the Civic Theatre to see a musical on a Sunday afternoon. We have been here many times to see plays and musicals and we have always had a fantastic time. The tickets are reasonable and they always have good quality shows. Parking isn't bad either and there are parking lots all around there.

I am impressed with the upkeep here, they do a great job keeping it clean and from not showing its age. The seats are all pretty good but I must warn you that if you have a fear of heights you would probably want to sit on the floor and not in the balcony. One time a guy in front... More

As a season ticket holder to Broadway San Diego, I regularly spend evenings here for shows. The interior is beautifully decorated, the seats are comfy, and as long as you aren't too far back in the balcony, the acoustics are great. Unfortunately, their concessions are overpriced ($3 soda, $8 wine, $10 spirit, $8 cheese and crackers), but that's not really... More

We visited the theater to see the broadway musical " The Book of Mormon" and it was a very big place with good acoustics, staff, installations and services.

I am a native San Diegan and can remember when the entire civic complex was built. And in the seventies and eighties I attended many shows and concerts there but none that I can remeber since about 1990. So when we went to see the radio broadcast of Prairie Home Companion I must say I was both concerned and curious... More

We go to the Civic Thearte every summer to see a touring Broadway show. The theatre seats are comfortable and there is ample leg room. The staff is helpful and polite. There is a large parking garage next to the theatre. Public areas outside the theatre were clean.

The American Idiot play is more like a concert with no theme, vulgar language including the [--] word frequently utilized, and a light show. This play has no place on any stage where the great works of art are shown. The audience walked out of this play and had there been an intermission, there would have been many more empty... More

Over the years I have seen Broadway shows such as Hairspray, Chicago, Lion King, and most recently a stand up comedian Aziz Ansari perform last week at the San Diego Civic Theatre. This place is great! I have sat in all different seats here and I think they're all good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food and... More
