This is a nice place to see the musicals that are touring the country. As a season ticket holder to Broadway San Diego, I have seen most of the many of the wonderful musicals that are performed here. If you are just thinking of getting tickets, make sure you get Orchestra Tickets, because they are the best seats to see... More

The Civic is a great place for Musical Theatre. Normally the touring groups are good. Restaurants are in walking distance, but only one at the civic - Downtown Johnny Brown's which serve pub food. Walk a few blocks to 4th, 5th or 6th Ave and you will find some really good restaurants. Bonus-free street parking on Sunday's!

We saw Wicked here and the theatre is fairly large, so our seats in lower loge side seemed farther than we thought, but the convenience of a restroom right outside made up for it. The acoustics are great in this place and it is well maintained. Get to the snack line early, lines get long fast. If you park in... More

Medium size theater in downtown San Diego. Upper loge seats are usually reasonably priced and offer a good view of the stage. Parking in evenings and on weekends isn't a problem, but beware of matinees during the week. Often the theater parking is taken by nearby office workers and you will find yourself looking for a spot on the street... More

We came her last Saturday to watch Wicked which was awesome!!! I know a lot of people are leery about driving and parking downtown, but getting to the Civic Theater was easy. Also, there are tons of parking lots in the area. We parked up the street a block away and it was $10. The Civic Theater has their own... More

There is nothing to beat live theatre and the San Diego Civic (Broadway) Theatre is as good as it gets..... I usually attend 3/4 times a year, live out of town, but it is a must long weekend..... The production was "Wicked" and if you have not seen it, it is definitely worth it..... can't wait for the next time.....

We went to the Civic Theatre to see a musical on a Sunday afternoon. We have been here many times to see plays and musicals and we have always had a fantastic time. The tickets are reasonable and they always have good quality shows. Parking isn't bad either and there are parking lots all around there.

I am impressed with the upkeep here, they do a great job keeping it clean and from not showing its age. The seats are all pretty good but I must warn you that if you have a fear of heights you would probably want to sit on the floor and not in the balcony. One time a guy in front... More

As a season ticket holder to Broadway San Diego, I regularly spend evenings here for shows. The interior is beautifully decorated, the seats are comfy, and as long as you aren't too far back in the balcony, the acoustics are great. Unfortunately, their concessions are overpriced ($3 soda, $8 wine, $10 spirit, $8 cheese and crackers), but that's not really... More
