Great trip. On board naturalists really added to the experience. We saw whales, a dolphin, and sea lions. Very nice boat- plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Big enough to be steady, but small enough to feel spacious- not too big of a crowd. We went for an afternoon cruise. Bring a jacket- and maybe a hat.

Make a reservation and don't stress about the line, you'll get in and have a table. Pass on the cheesy photos and the line will move faster. You can take a picture on the upper deck with a life ring! You will be amazed at how nice San Diego looks from the water! The food was good, the staff nice... More

My husband and I took the whale watching cruise and we were not disappointed. We saw several whales, dolphins and sea lions. The water was a bit rough but we enjoyed it. Snacks were available and there were clean restrooms on the boat. Binoculars were available for rent. Would do this again. Great tour to do in conjunction with the... More

I've been on a Hornblower Cruise twice. The first was for a dinner cruise. The food was pretty decent and the staff was great. It was also nice to see fireworks by the Coronado bridge close to the end of the cruise. Quite a romantic idea for a date. The second time, I managed to snag a discount on one... More

The harbour buzzes today with myriad-sized craft and traffic. This cruise is a wonderful way to explore an immense area. We opted for the morning two-hour Hornblower cruise of the entire harbour with close up views of billions of dollars worth of US Navy ships, a submarine area, lounging seals gathered along a bait area, the USS Ronald Reagan, one... We took the 2 hour Hornblower Cruise of the North and South San Diego Harbor. It was a painless way to see the harbor, navy yards and point loma. The crew was courteous and the trip was punctual. BE sure to Park in the ACE parking lot near the Hornblower Ticket booth. Near Midway Ship. $10 for 12 hours, best... More

When you live in San Diego the though of doing a dinner/harbor cruise is not at the top of your list because that's what tourists do. Right? Yes and no. We took a cruise on the Adventure Hormblower which is their medium sized ship. It was clean and easy to get around. The DJ did a good job with the... More

I took the 2 hour cruise. Pick seats on the port side(left when facing the boat) for the first half of the tour and starboard(right) for the second half.

We wanted to see San Diego from the water & this tour was perfect for our needs. They offer a one & two hour cruise. The two hour one is basically the one hour one that comes back to the dock to unload & then you go out again for another hour to see another area of the bay. We... More

We took the full moon cruise on Nivember 6th . It was a delightful evening. They are very organized in getting everyone on board. They do have you take a photo before boarding but felt no pressure to purchase the picture. ( it was reasonably priced ) The food presentation was very nice. We did take out drinks upstairs and...
