Not cheap (20$ adults, 10$ children), but a lot on show. Great to get close up to and into helicopters and airplanes. Several decks to visit, which give a good impression of life on a ship like this. Many friendly volunteers who are happy to explain more to those who want to know. Line to the bridge was a bit... More

This was a very cool, inside look at a massive ship. I liked how you could explore the ship on your own, get an audio tour, or take a guided tour. The deck has a great view of the harbor and a wide variety of planes and helicopters you can see up close.

First - remember this is a retired, real life aircraft carrier! Although there are elevators between the decks - you are still going to encounter stairs - regular and steep, narrow halls and such. With that being said - GO! What a wonderful museum, on the self guided tour, you will hear the voices of veterans tell their personal stories... More

This is an amazing museum. Second time visiting this and still wowed by the sheer size and scale of this ship. Excellent on board attractions for all ages. So many great photo opportunities (though you may need to be patient until planes are free of other people). We got there prior to opening and it was busy. Come lunch time... More

I didn't think i would enjoy this as war and history isn't really my thing but was very pleasantly surprised. well preserved, lots of great information. Loved the planes out on the deck. Son got to go into a couple of them. all in all really cool.

We had a lot of fun here. We even had a friend station on the ship. We went the quick tour. They do have an audio tour but didn't have time for it. So much history on this ship. Lots of different air craft to see. You can tour the crew living area and officers area. It was great to... More

Great place to take kids, or military, aviation or naval enthusiasts. The ship is in pretty good condition as are the aircraft. Easy access and a good side event during a San Diego vacation.

Visiting the USS Midway Museum gave my family and me a lot of insight as to what an aircraft carrier does, and how it is managed and operated. The visit is facilitated through a comprehensive audio guide and well informed docents. There's a fun game for kids which could earn them some wings, too! Just walking through this vast ship... More
