Ok so i am biased, I am a history teacher... This museum is top-notch though and I spent twice as long there as expected. Simply put, this museum is MASSIVE. The curators have taken great pains to preserve the history authentically and their efforts have paid off. Top Gun junkies will like all the planes and ready rooms, engineer-types will... More

This is one of the best attractions in San Diego. Please allow yourself at least 3 to 4 hours to fully tour the ship. We missed several areas of the ship because we needed to leave for our Harbor Cruise. Amazing exhibits and a great first hand look at life on this Aircraft Carrier.

After experiencing a private event on the USS Midway in August 2013 I decided I'd come back sometime at a future date to see it in its entirety and I didn't have to wait long. An Arizona Facebook friend came to meet me in San Diego and he had a Facebook friend in Coronado so we went to meet her... More

My wife and son have been here twice in the past two years. They love going through the ship and catching up on the ship's history. On our last trip, I went with them and enjoyed the experience too. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful piece of American history to visit. Lots to see, well run, the staff includes people who were actually on the Midway during their active service to the country. Their stories are fascinating and make this piece of history even more alive.

The USS Midway was an adventure for someone who has never been onboard a US Navy vessel. Beginning with the short film on a battle in the Pacific which was truly realistic to the self guided tours from top to bottom of the ship there is a full day of activities. There is a great café at the tail of... More

This was an amazing look at how impressive our military is and has been. There were retired pilots on the flight deck giving talks on their first hand experience of flying from carriers. You can easily check out a free self guided tour headset, but there are many knowledgable people to answer questions if you prefer to forgo the headset... More

This is really something that should not be missed, it has something for everyone-little kids to seniors. The very minimum would be a 2 hr visit, but we have had guests spend hours here. The exhibits are always being enhanced, and it is very hands on. It is right in the middle of so many things, that you can plan... More

We took or 6 1/2 and 5 year old. My six year old kept saying "who knew the past could be so fun". We had such a good time walking through the ship. The best part for the kids was getting to sit inside old airplanes. Totally worth the price of admission!!

There were 6 of us, ages 9-70 and we all enjoyed the USS Midway experience. The younger ones enjoyed the hands-on activities. Others enjoyed the various planes. We all enjoyed touring the bridge, a first for me. But what was most awe-inspiring was walking across the deck and realizing how huge an aircraft actually is! Tip: talk to the docents... More
