This is really a beautiful ball park, and I'm glad we went. We have three kids ages 10, 8, and 7, so we went for cheaper seats in an upper deck, not knowing how long we would be staying with a 7:05 p.m. start. I think it's pretty hard to have a bad seat in this ballpark! Our seats were... More

Petco park is great! I went with a couple of families and all of us have small kids. We sat in the bleacher seats in the outfield where they have a giant sandbox for kids to play while parents watch the game. There are a lot of food choices, but if you sit in those outfield seats don't promise your... More

When to a weeknight game. Highly recommend the buffet section -- $29/ticket with all you can eat soda and ballpark food: hot dogs; peanuts and popcorn. Great value and seats are pretty good. Make sure you bring a warm sweater. Nights get chilly even in June.

Bring a sweater no matter what time of year you go, but it's definitely worth the weather and a struggling league. The park is fairly new and built within downtown San Diego. It's BEAUTIFUL! We make sure to buy tickets whenever we're in town.

We went to the Padres-Rangers game on June 19. It was our first trip to Petco Park. It's a beautiful ballpark, and it's easy to reach on public transportation. The prices for food and beverages were fair, and it was nice to see that they had craft beers available as well as the traditional ballpark standbys. The Padres fans were... More

Great place for our special friends to meet and greet new playmates, and to meet dog lovers too.

So my standards for a ball park are extremely high, easy commute by train and sits in the historic GasLamp quarter.

As visitors from the Netherlands we are not very familiar with baseball, but we always love to visit a game. And there are always nice people around who are willing to tell us all about the team and the game.

Great food and beer, the kind of park that you should take some time exploring rather than just sitting in your seat. Cool feature: a small ball field for kids.
