Petco is a great place to watch a ball game. It is next to the Gaslamp District for food and fun before and after the game.

This is one of the most fun downtown baseball stadiums. Walking this neighborhood in the gaslamp district is fun.

Beautiful park - great food! I would recommend the fish tacos. Cool area outside the outfield to hang out before the game. The Padres may not be great, but Petco Park certainly is.

My wife and 17 year old son had the opportunity to attend a Padres vs Mets game last Saturday evening at Petco Park in San Diego. The park is beautiful, fans are great, views are wonderful, but the service is lacking. I was the 8th person in line to get food near section 203 and I missed the entire 1st... More

I'm a sports junkie and base most of my travels around going to various sporting events and seeing plenty of sites related to teams around the country. Of all the parks I've been to, Petco Park rates as my favorite stadium. The setting is perfect, right in the heart of the Gaslamp district. The stadium is modern, but still has... More

I did not actually go in the park but I was walking around the park. Lots of police and lots of people but any disturbance. San Diego was playing and lost. looked well lit and safe. I stayed in the hotel next to with the axes to the stadium. Omni hotel.

Such a nice treat for myself. Thank you San Diego for such a great environment. I have been at more Padre games than Giants games, and I am from the SF Bay Area.

I was able to snag a single seat behind the 3rd base dugout (section 108) for $50. A similar seat in Yankee Stadium would be ten times the price. I am a Yankee fan, but I would choose Petco Park every time if I just wanted to see the game. Here's why: 1. Access. It is so easy to walk... More

I went to AT&T and Petco in the same week to watch a game. Although AT&T may be more scenic, Petco is probably a slightly better experience mainly because it isn't as cramped with people and it has great food options from standout local restaurants. There is fun for every budget and type of fan plus parking and mass transit... More

Ever wonder what the locker rooms look like or what the view is like from the luxury suites? Check out the Petco Park tour offered daily. There is some walking but also opportunities to sit down while the guide tells you about the park, the team history, and some of the behind the scenes stories. Mike was our tour guide... More
