Went to ocean beach to walk the pier. The crowd is not the highest clientele. Lots of hippies and drugs going on. Even spotted a syringe. It was nice to stand on pier and watch surfers etc just beware of surroundings etc. parking was a challenge too

I love that OB is still that laid back beach town that hasn't changed much since I was a kid. I like that I can walk almost anywhere I want to go and sit and people watch in a relaxing environment. The locals have always been friendly and if you don't mind a little sand in everything you own, this... More

I really enjoyed my afternoon at ocean beach. Its a very clean, good looking beach with nice views. It's nothing too crazy as you won't see huge amounts of crowds. Just laid back people enjoying the views.

This is the place. There is no fancy, schmancy see and be seen in Ocean Beach. You are welcome as you are. Spend time at the ocean, browse through the stores, shop at the farmer's market, enjoy the Chilly cook-off, and be yourself. Grab a coffee and have a nice walk at the beach; if you have a dog, come... More

The Sisters welcome everyone--no religious preference required, and one is not obliged to take part in any religious observances.. Food and kitchenettes provided, as well as beach mats and all kinds of amenities. Patios with umbrellas. Family friendly. You have your own key, and private rooms and baths in each two-room unit. References required--no loud noise, no electronics, no TVS... More

Hipster beach area, unpretentious people, surfers. This is the place to be. Dog friendly beaches, beautiful sunsets, waves and bonfires at night. This beach is much less populated than other beaches with tourists. I'm in love.

Based on the homes in the area, I wasn't sure what kind of experience I would have. It turned out to be a great time! Ocean Beach is a cute little town. Along the beach, there is a rock walkway that is patrolled by law enforcement to keep the not so happy things away. There was a festival when I... More

Ocean Beach had a lot actually!! Its more of a locals beach but it has a dog beach as well as lots of volleyball courts! Also available are: multiple fire pits, bathrooms and changing rooms, clean and nice sand. The waves here are also nice but that depends completely on the day! Great beach

We visited Ocean Beach on a Friday in the afternoon. This wasn't a planned activity as we needed to fill in some time before going to the Sunset Cliffs. Upon arriving, my family needed to change into our swimsuits, so we used the bathroom and dressing area near the beach. Being that it is a public restroom, there was strange... More

Beach front is filled with all kinds of funky shops and bars. The 60s never left OB. Tie dyed and dread locks will feel welcome as well as families. Lots of interesting food from mexican to sea to other ethnic foods. Lots of beach and lifeguards on duty to keep your family safe. If you want to sit on the... More
