Lots for visitors to see

We live by the sea ourselves and we always love a walk on 'the front'. It was busy with tourists but there is lots to look at. Recommended for all visitors to San Diego.

We liked walking the pier and finding plenty of comfortable seating available affording an exquisite view of the bay.

The walk along the waterside in San Diego Bay is absolutely beautiful. There is always something to see and do, or if you would rather it is a fabulous place to chill out and let the world carry on around you! You can see such attractions as the Seaport Village (reviewed elsewhere on this site), the USS Midway Museum and... More

So much bay and so little time - Walked or biked each of the four days we were in San Diego! There was always something going on, people to see, or just relax on a beach chair with a cold beverage.

Did this on first day in San Diego to get a feeling for the place. Passed many fantastic sights that we plan to visit individually later, including the Star of India, the USS Midway, Embarcadero, Petco Park and the Seaport Village. Walk took around 2 hours gentle strolling - all on the flat. Lots of little shops and restaurants along... More

This was a lovely way to enjoy the view of the water. Great place to run, but also takes you to some of the tourist spots as well. Festive.

Coming from the cold north, it was nice to just take a stroll and watch the sail boats. The only negative thing was a biker that chose to ride up on folks and startle them. Must have been a tourist!

This area was right behind our hotel, so we walked some segment of this everyday for 3 days. Lots of stuff to see, museums, stores, restaurants, street performers, boats. Easy walk and entertaining.

Beautiful way to see the water - - - but watch out for the renegade runners. They don't care if you can't move fast enough to get out of their way. Running over lame travelers is some sick joy for these people and they go out of their way to hit you or knock you down. Be sure to have... More
