From naval vessels to historic ships and sightseeing cruises this area has so much to offer. We enjoyed all of the above and just walking around the waterfront was so interesting.

Walking along here makes you feel relaxed just looking out at the bay and admiring the beauty of it all. There are plenty of food options along the way that look out over the water. Just beautiful.

Ran by early AM. Very nice place for a job (to Harbor or Shelter Island depending on how far you want to go). It was empty, but pretty. Did not get to spend time here during the days this trip, but remember having a pleasant enough time walking here 10 years ago. Did not get to see the museums... but... More

This is an amazing promenade.....walking and cycling. We walked from our hotel down to the Maritime Museum. Along the way there are plenty of restaurants, cafe, ice-cream, small touristy shops. Wonderful views of the bay and the USS Midway Museum.

This is a great place to take a walk, eat and watch people on the bay, next to marina's with unique shops, close to hotels, so interesting and water taxis to the island.

We were there in Dec. which I imagine is not the best tourist month but it does make the best traveling (if you prefer smaller crowds). It was nice, quiet and quite refreshing to see locals going about their business at the start of the day. There is plenty to see and do for all of the family, including enjoying... More

I liked the accessibility to where we were staying, the view of the bay from the walkway and the friendliness of bikers and walkers.

Not saying it wasn't a pleasurable visit, just not all that different then you'd find other places. The shops were varied and prices not too bad.

This is just an idyllic walk along the harbor, watching naval ships current and historic, beautiful flowers and green grass in November, balmy temperatures. It was just so relaxing. We loved the Bob Hope memorial with his USO shows playing audio to an audience of bronze GI's from several eras. Touching to see several families with their own Navy family... More

San Diego Bay is the centerpiece of SD and has many nice walking, running/bike paths around it. A must visit if in San Diego.
