Drive to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park in the afternoon, make your way down to the beach (there's a rope to help you climb down), enjoy watching the waves and the surfers, climb back up before sunset, get your picnic from the car and pick a spot to watch the whole landscape turn orange. Stunning.

Beautiful, great easy walk. Use to be MUCH more real estate out there. It is eroding badly. Great place to watch the sun set when the fog bank is out. Also surf watching from this point is wonderful.

Some of the most amazing views in San Diego. So calm serene and safe. Great for the family and wonderful photo shoots. The restaurants nearby are wonderful.

No trip to San Diego would be complete if you miss this area. A short 15 minute drive from down town. There are plenty of places to park all along the cliffs. Though it is a residential area so please be aware of where you are parking. There are numerous places to "hike" down the cliffs to the water. May... More

Highly recommend spending an evening/sunset here. We went about an hour before sunset and walked along the many cliffs before sitting down to watch. The views are outstanding. Such an experience watching the waves crash against the shore and watching the surfers close by. There can be a good amount of people that go, but everyone is very friendly, keep... More

I was amazed at how beautiful and rugged this place looked. I was at the cliffs near Point Loma Nazarene University. I saw friends and lovers enjoying this area. This is a good place to watch surfers's too as I saw about 10 in a small area here. There were some coming and going up & down the cliffs as... More

Filled with friends and couples taking in the beautiful San Diego sunsets, the cliffs are the perfect place to set up a tripod and snap a few photos alone or with friends. The cliffs down near the Nazarene college are far better than by Ocean Beach. Check it out at least one night of your trip to San Diego!

Wow, the sunsets are among the best parts of this amazing San Diego coast rock formation/beach/jogging path location! They're amazing.
