Thank you Capt. Marcus and the crew of the NEW LO-AN for an exceptional day of fishing for Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail. On the evening of 23 July 2013 I boarded the NEW LO-AN out of Pt. Loma Sportfishing for an overnight fishing trip to Mexican waters targeting Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail. I use a CPAP machine to assist in... More

Went on the 3/4 day boat. Name of the boat is "Point Loma". Captian and crew were excellent and I am very happy with the amount of fish I caught. Brett was as nice as he could be and so were David and Able. There were two boys on the boat and they tried very hard and worked all day... More

Went on 3/4 day fishing trip. First thing stopped to catch squid for bait. Was fun and funny at first but all the ink over everything and everyone no so pleasant. Slow fishing at first was getting kinda worried do to we have gone on 1/2 days and caught tons of fish... But captain Ron came through and we caught... More

The boat was well maintained and although the crew was nice, they weren't overly helpful while fishing. I'm an experienced fisherman, but fishing for Yellowtail was a new experience for me. I found that when I had my fish on, they were very attentive in telling me what to do, but while simply fishing, if you didn't ask questions, they... More

This was the 1st time my 21 & 19 yr. old sons tried deep sea fishing so they were really excited. My eldest son said he caught a huge fish on his line & the crew was not helpful in telling him how to reel it in & kept running him around people instead of teaching him exactly what to... More

Not for tourists or kids or novice fisherman. Deck hand chose to give his talk on what to do just as a group of dolphins were swimming nearby, so couldn't watch. Crew mostly worried about cleaning up and preparing fish for the next return of the boat. Nice scenery,of course. Original date booked was cancelled with no call. Luckily we... More

Well what can I say.... We went out with Mission Belle back in August and it was the best trip my husband and I have ever had. The crew were fantastic as was our fellow fisherman. My husband and I both caught on the day but even if we hadn't the wildlife we saw would of made up for it.... More

My first time going with Point Loma, so not sure what to expect. I went on a 3/4 day trip, leaving 6a and back 7pm. According to fish count, same trip the day before yield limits of Yellow Tail and many others. KAREN, the deckhand, greeted me with smile. During the entire trip, she was very help full helping everyone... More

My wife and I planned a trip a few years ago to go on an over night full day fishing trip. I called Point Loma and asked how much it would cost for going on the trip. I asked specifically how much for the trip including all charges and tackle. They quoted me a price. When we showed up and... More

We were steered to Point Loma Sportsfishing away from the other outfits in the area because we were told that the crew seemed to really care and have a good time doing their work. I agree, they were helpful and pleasant. We took an afternoon 1/2 trip... some fish were caught by the group, but we didn't have any luck... More
