Better option than Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach or Mission Beaches! Much more relaxed ... decent waves for surfing and in general well maintained.

The walk to this beach is short and you can use the equipment from the resort. We got lucky and had the front parking space and luckily we had our beach equipment.

Wow this campground is amazing. Right on the cliffs of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Camp sites are rural. No Electric or Water in the site. There are clean showers and flushing toilets through the campground. New to the campground are full hook up spots. Very clean and big. The walk to the beach is quick. Either a ramp that puts... There is beach parking however it fills up pretty quickly so get there early. There is a small fee to park. Has restroom facilities and a shower to wash off before... More

very nice and family beach. We spent a day there and we loved it. Good and quiet to go with kids. There are some stones in the beach, good to play with!!

The Map location of the South Carlsbad State Beach is pointing to an old park, fenced with graffiti. My family and I have spent quite some serious time in the car to reach a place not relating to the description. I hope no one follows the map as honestly as we did and gets misdirected. To whomever put the directions... More

I've been camping at South Carlsbad State Beach many years... never get tired of it. You can enjoy a breathtaking view of the beach; stroll on the beach; play in the sand; swim in the ocean or surf... It's a nice place to relax while staying close to civilization. Supermarket and restaurants are walking distance. Weather is nice year round.... More
