Escape to La Jolla October 5th, 2014 I had the pleasure of taking the Bite La Jolla Tour after a relative sent me a Groupon (http://www.groupon.com/browse/san-diego?lat=32.7719&lng=-117.135&query=bite+san+diego&address=92108&locale=en_US) link for the Bite San Diego Tours (2 people for $49). This referral made it an exciting, yet affordable, way to leisurely spend a weekend afternoon. What a delightful experience; including the beautiful La... More

Thank you so much for a lovely tour. David was awesome and the food was superb! Would highly recommend it to anyone. The stores were great! Loved the Olive experience of tasting wine and olive oil with various flavors and great quality. What an experience to remember!

Wow is all I can say. We did the Hillcrest tour with our nephew/wife. We started at Jimmy Carter's Mexican Restaurant where we were given chips/salsa, tostadas, tacos, and another appetizer. We were almost full just from that meal alone. The guides are full of history of the areas that you are touring. Next we were off R Gang Eatery... More

I had a amazing time on my Bite Tour of La Jolla! Our tour guide David was fantastic and extremely entertaining. He knew all of the history of La Jolla and even stopped at some of the historical sites that we passed on our walk. I enjoyed each and every restaurant/cafe that was on our tour! My favorites were Mary's... More

We spent 4+ hours with Eddie on Saturday afternoon, visiting 5 restaurants. In between we walked the downtown area and learned of the history of the buildings and people of San Diego. Eddie was knowledgeable, articulate and, maybe most important, easy to hear and understand. Each stop brought an entirely different cuisine and taste to the tour. Some foods were... More

We had a great afternoon with Eddie. The food was excellant and we learned about gas lamp district and little Italy. If possible do this tour when you first arrive as you will want to go back to some of the restaurants.

I think our guide was well suited for the job...wonderful and enthusiastic host. I knew going into it that I was less interested in how bite chooses their food tour...seems a little more marketing for certain places than to experience the best of the area..most other tours have quality restaurants and meet with owners/management for a nice elegant choice of... On 11/2/2014 my friend and I toured with guide David around La Jolla. We tried a number of interesting restaurants that I do not think I would have considered if I were walking around looking for a place to eat! It is a shame to have lived for so long and not tried coconut rice! While walking from location to... More

Bought this tour from a travelzoo deal and had a hard time booking the La Jolla & Coronado tours-- I guess those fill up quickly, so we decided to do the North Park tour. It was mediocre at best. Typical bar food, nothing special. Some of the other people on the tour said they had already done the Gaslamp or... More

We had a fun time experiencing foods we would not normally try, especially the oil shop. We even made purchases there. We also may return to the other restraunts if we are in the area. Our guide, Joseph, was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall nice time!
