Captain Art led us on an amazing 3 1/2 hour whale watching adventure. We saw multiple California Grey Whales and even a humpback whale who was showing off by breaching a dozen or so times. Onboard, the sailboat had a nice snack and beverage selection, as well as anything you might have forgotten to pack from blankets, to hats and... More

We were in San Diego this past New Years and did not realize it was prime gray whale watching season. We found Sail San Diego by Tripadvisor and we had a great time and would definitely recommend their trip. Our captain was John and he was fun, friendly and informative. He is also a talented and obviously experienced sailor as... More

Had an awesome experience this morning and saw too many dolphins and whales to count. Saw several whales breach. The boat was wonderful and the caption super nice and courteous!! I definitely recommend this over the large whale watching cruises!! The sailboat handles the rough water much better!!!!!!!

My wife and I received a gift certificate for this whale watching tour from my sister — and I guess she knows what I like, because this was so much better than our previous experience with one of the large whale watching outfits. I don't mean to say we didn't enjoy the other trip, but this one more to our... More

This was recommended to us, Wisconsinites, by other WI natives we met in a bar the first night in Coronado. We absolutely LOVED that it was an all you can drink, eat, and could come totally unprepared because "Happy Captain Greg" really had anything you needed! The weather changes so quickly in January and we had jackets, blankets, gloves, food,... More

Yes, sailing in January can be chilly. But that said, our trip couldn't have been warmer. Not only was our group setting comfy (only 6.5 passengers in addition to our captain), Captain Anthony kept us entertained with his worldwide travels. We totally enjoyed his hospitality. We did see some whales but mostly tails and spouts which was cool. Honestly, just... More

Had a wonderful sail with Captain Anthony A. His knowledge of the area and his obvious love of sailing made for a very enjoyable experience. Saw some whale spouts, lots of sea lions, and some Navy Seal activity. Sailboat was very well-equipped- lots of snuggies, coats, snacks and drinks. Highly recommend!

Sadly, we did not see any whales. However, being out on the water with just a handful of other people was delightful. The captain was great and found other cool aspects of being out in the water to show us. Definitely recommend!
