A fantastic sail on a leisurely summer afternoon…just 6 passengers total plus Greg, our very capable captain…very relaxing…scenic…and beautiful…like having a private sailboat all to ourselves…I had traveled with Sail San Diego about 4 years ago with an out-of-town visitor and loved it…and this time was even better with a set of longtime local friends…departing from Shelter Island is a... After our group decided who would play each part of the Gilligan's Island cast, we cast off with Captain Dave on a lovely July day. The boat was spotless, Dave was accommodating and the 3 hours went by way too fast. It was a wonderful way to see San Diego from the water, have some fun with friends and relax... More

We stayed on Shelter Island during our time San Diego and were surrounded by sail boats, but neither my husband or I had ever sailed, so he called up Sail San Diego. From the initial call Sail San Diego was top notch. The person on the phone explained what we would need to bring, said there was a small discount... More

We celebrated my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary and what a treat it was! The skipper was incredibly informed about the history of Pt. Loma and the bay and very personable. We had a full 3 hour plus tour stocked with a plethora of beverages and snacks. If you're looking for and A+ experience with a fully experienced skipper on a... More

My dad, my four uncles and I had a boat to ourselves with Captain Greg Tupaj and couldn't have asked for a better afternoon of sailing. Whether going out into the ocean or sticking close to shore, you're guaranteed to have a great time. Especially with Capt. Greg. He's laid back, good natured, funny and you're bound to get a... More

Sail San Diego is a class organization. The boat was clean and well maintained. There was an orientation on where everything was and how to use it. Captain John was great. He did a marvelous job single handing the boat. I'd sail with him anytime. Next time we are in San Diego we are going to go for the sunset... More

This company gives you the VIP treatment. From checkin to sailing...just fantastic. My wife and I had Captain Art and it was like we had know him all our life and was just sailing with a friend. We sailed on Friday July 11th, 1pm... After the checkin assistant, nice young guy...can't remember his name, but he explained the head, clothing... More

My family of five had a wonderful experience during our sunset sail with Art. None of us had ever even set foot on a boat that size, and my son and step-daughter both had a great time learning to steer. Art was funny, great with the young teens, and had wonderful stories and facts to share with us. He went... More

We took the sunset sail and although we couldn't see the sunset due to the clouds, it was an excellent experience. Captain Art was very informative about the area and explained the history of the bay. He took us very close to the sea lions and explained about their behavior. When I explained I was a sailor as well, he... More
