I used groupon for this...so worthy for the price I paid..! Im novice and had a great experience. Only issue is everybody including guide rides fast and you have to catch up with them..so in the process you ride fast and if a ship passby while you ride fast..things get scary because of lot of waves in water..... my advice... Recently, I treated my just-turned-40-year-old daughter to a speed boat adventure on San Diego Bay. I had done this once before, several years ago, and when my daughter said she wanted to spend an "adventuresome day" in San Diego, the speed boat adventure came to mind. From a marina on Harbor Island, you get to drive your own two-seat 30-hp... More

gave us enough room to drive a little crazy on our own while being guided on a slow tour, if a few slow people, then everyone slow...but still, enjoyed the guide and the tour and the day.

This was an absolute blast! My wife and I loved this tour. Seeing the seals and driving around the waterfront is fun, but blasting around the bay at full speed is almost too cool to describe.

Myself and my 5 year old daughter had a great time on this trip around San Diego bay. As soon as we got out of the no wake zone and got up to full speed she never stopped smiling and cheering. Zak was a great guide and explained everything really well. Highly recommended.

Fun times being the captain of your own boat ! It was fun seeing downtown bay area from water angle while learning a ton of history. Our tour ended up being 2 hours instead of 1 1/2 which was a great bonus ! Inches away from a lot of sunbathing sea lions and naval ships was pretty cool. A tour... More

We took our friends for an experience. They were both first timers. Didn't appreciate that there was only one staff that came with a group of ten. Our friends didn't get much help when they got stuck in the middle of the bay. Their boat engine died and tour guide never came to rescue. No contact thru radio. Luckily my... More

My wife and I stayed the weekend in San Diego for our anniversary. On Sunday we decided to do the Boat Tour before driving back home to Los Angeles. I owned two speed boats in my time but haven't been in one in the last 10 years. I was thinking to myself; how fun could this really be?" Well it... More

We were in town for meetings with an afternoon off. I chose this for the combined adventure and sightseeing. It was a good choice. Very kind and pleasant guide. Good instruction. Saw the Navy training dolphins, a large group of seals, Navy ships, the USS Midway, the skyline, the marina, the bridge, and the cruise ship area. You have to... More

I have my own boat so didn't figure this would be that exiting. I was wrong. The guide did an excellent job and overall good customer service. We used groupon discount with no problem. The boats are easy to use even for a novice and you go as fast as is comfortable with a small boat. It does get pretty... More
