e went on a 1 1/2day trip searching for tuna or yellowtail. We were out for a total of 38 hours and our captain stopped and let us fish for under 20 minutes total for the whole trip. Unbelievable, disappointment is an understatement. No tuna, and maybe 20 yellowtail. The crew was nice, the food was ok, the cook Bobby... More

I have heard many good things about H&M landing and have frequented other sportfishing companies out here in San Diego. It's early in the season and I wanted to get an overnight trip under my belt but the usual company that I use had a heavier load. I opted to take the old glory out of H&M despite all the... More

My husband and I decided relatively last minute that we wanted to go sea fishing, and luckily for us H&M Landing had availability. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the novice in me appreciated the brief lesson on the boat en route to the first spot. All in all I think we went to 4 spots to fish... More

Lots of things made this good. Firstly, we saw quite a few grey whales, which was the point of the exercise. Secondly, the captain and crew did their uppermost to make sure we got the most from the trip. The captain clearly knows his stuff and was very adept at positioning the boat close to where he suspected whales would... More

Having been on whale watching trips in Washington and Alaska, this one overall was not as enjoyable, but definitely had its high points. The good thing was that the captain of the boat was very well versed in whale habits and behavior, and was able to explain exactly what we were seeing and why the whales reacted in certain ways... Called to make a reservation for the whale watching tour in the morning. Spoke to someone about the boat and the trip itself got off the phone and packed the family up to get there for the tour. Their brochure which is all over town says that they leave at 10 so my family and I arrived at 9:40 to... More

We had a great time (my husband and I and sons, Ages 14 and 10). This was the first time we have ever gone deep sea fishing. We purchased the 4 hour fishing trip off the shores of Mexico (starting in San Diego). The boat had food and drinks for sale, which was very nice. The workers were very friendly... More

When we decided to go whale watching we started at the chamber of commerce, but they only told us about the two very large companies with ticket booths in the immediate (Midway Museum) area. My brother is local, and he discovered he had a discount coupon in his email for H & M, so we decided to go with them.... More

We went whate watching with H & M and it was fantastic. Three and a half hours on the afternoon trip for $25.00 each. We saw whales, seals, and dolphins...well worth the trip. Naturalist on board was knowledgeable. The boat was smaller, but had enough indoor and outdoor viewing spots. Drinks and snacks and washrooms on board. Very enjoyable.

What a great experience! We were able to see a whale although it didn't fully come out of the water. We played a bit with a pod of dolphins and saw a few sea lions. The crew also pointed out various attractions along the way which we visited later. We got a great deal with Groupon and we will definitely... More
