We have been whale watching several times and have had good sightings and not so good. Regardless of any whale sightings, this trip is worth the money. We did see 2 whales while out which was a plus - but if you do not see any, the sail is fantastic! Al was a wonderful guide and excellent with the kids....

We really enjoyed the America Whale Watching Tour. I was afraid it was going to be a little "hokey" when our "mate" (Al, I believe was his name) was dressed in somewhat authentic garb and barking at people on the pier in "pirate talk". But the whole trip was wonderful -- he wrangled a large group of children on the...

This was a wonderful experience. The minute we stepped aboard we were definitely on an adventure. Al makes sure the kids are well taken care of (the adults are pretty well taken care of as well). We all had the opportunity to help hoist the sails. The kids were able to help raise the flag...then we were off. The ship...

This was our first Whale Watching trip and decided on the America due to the type of ship the trip would be on. America is a double masted schooner, about 75ft long and beautiful in full sail. The day was a beautiful one with clear skies and warm temps. We were told by our hotel to dress warmly, which didn't...

My wife and I have gone whale watching before, but never on a schooner like the America. What a professionally run operation! The ship was beautiful. The crew was very professional. Al the guide was very knowledgable and funny. We would have enjoyed the cruise even if we hadn't seen whales. But we did!!! Grey whales. Risso's Dolphins. And a...

I took my 7-year-old daughter whale watching on a Friday in February, and we both had so much fun. I had picked the America over other tours based on other reviews from this website and was not disappointed. We saw gray whales, dolphins, and sea lions. You don't have to get on a boat to see dolphins. They are visible...

I was a little leary of guarantees like no seasickness and positive whale sightings, but my apprehension quickly turned to appreciation. The staff was very professional and made our journey fun, educational and one of the best water adventures ever.

We decided that even if we saw no whales, the day on America, a yacht similar to an America's cup winner, would be worth the price of the ticket. To say we were pleasantly surprised by the number of whale sitings is a complete understatement! We saw lots of whales, marine birds, dolphins, and even a close up encounter with...
