My grandson and I thought we were going to see seals in their natural habitat. Wrong! We saw one pup by the boat launch and the rest were asleep on the deck of a floating bait shop. This seemed to be the intended tour highlight. It was really a sightseeing tour of the military installations in the harbor.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I would like to clear up some of your confusion. In reference to the presence of Seals, the mammal, we do not guarantee the opportunity to view any sea life on the tour. These animals are in their natural habitat and move about at will. Further, there are laws prohibiting... More

We learned about the Seal Tour from a local tourism brochure and decided to give it a shot. They are located in two diffrent tourist spots, however, both can be tough/pricey for parking depending on the time of day. The amphibious vehicle is really cool both on land and sea. The two staff on our tour did a excellent job... More

Decided to do this tour with family visiting from out of town. It's a great way to see the city from two different perspectives (land and the San Diego Bay). I recently learned that locals can do this attraction for free with the purchase of a non-discounted ticket (can't be purchased online).

There are other tours which will show you more of the city but this was a fun way to spend an hour and a half learning a bit about the bayside area. Views from the water are pretty and our guide told us lots of interesting stories about the Navy along the way. The sealions and pelicans were cool and... More

We've been on a lot of ducks, some good, some not so good, and this one was great. David, our host, was personable and intelligent. We had a great time, and the tour was worth a lot more than the ticket price. No, you don't see all of San Diego, but you get a good view of the harbor, Shelter... More

The 90 minute tour takes you for a spin around the harbor - past a lot of parks and attractions. After about a 10-15 minute drive, you actually go into the harbor on the Hydra Terra vehicle. The trip on the water is the bulk of the tour. While in the water, you will ride past the sea lions and... More

We took this tour on a warm, sunny morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Captain Jay and his First Mate Frank, who supplemented his commentary with his many hats and personas, made history fun. It was nice to see all the resident sea lions and various birds in San Diego Bay up close as well as the San Diego skyline from... More

We bought our tickets to this ride down by the water front and were then told to go to a parking lot quite a few blocks away. When we got there, parking was non-existent and we barely made it to the tour. When we tried to ask for ideas, they were very rude and un-helpful.The tour itself was awesome, the... More

We had a great day at the SEAL tour. My fiancé first saw this type of tour when we were looking for things to do in Seattle. They have DUCK tours there, which are a little smaller and are converted military vehicles. SEAL tours are larger. So, I booked plane tickets for the day and SEAL tour tickets. Charlie was... More
