The tour is really of Sea Lions, with a hope for a Seal, and then some tour guidance of anything interesting on the way out and back, in the city and in the bay, to see the Sea Lions. Have a look at the map- it's quite accurate and transparent regarding what the tour is about. The Sea Lions were... More

I booked this tour (from Embarcadero) as I couldn't decide what to go see in San Diego. The tour was entertaining in a corny way, with much educational information of the history of the Navy and marine life. Heidi our tour guide was a plethora of information, and the nostalgic placement of music was apropos. Despite the wind on land... More

My husband and I have done the San Diego Seal Tour twice, once maybe 5 or 6 years ago, and again last October. We enjoyed it the first time but loved it the second. As previous reviewers have noted, the Seal does not go to Old Town and most of the ride is on the water (which is our favorite... More

Not sure how the reviews are so good. The tour is nice, guides are friendly however the tour is quite sad. Why take people to all of the military areas, we could care less about this. Instead of going to the Coronado area, we spend the entire time circling military stations. Overall this could be wonderful, but the route needs... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The staff were knowledgable and enthusiastic, and it was very well organised, and dovetailed nicely with the trolley bus tour of San Diego. Access to the vehicle is by a steep set of stairs, but they have a lift for wheelchair access. It can be a bit breezy out on the water but they have... More

Took the Seal tour of San Diego. Simply put, it was OK. We didn't go anywhere in downtown San Diego like I had hoped for. The tour consisted of the driving by the airport and entering the water. We only cruised the bay around Point Loma area. Not really much to see. Overall, I found the trip to be disappointing,... More

Not sure what I got out of this other than hanging with my local friends and their kids. The kids liked parts of it, but they were pretty much done after 60 minutes. It's a 90 minute tour. Most the kids on the tour were over it. Its not even a good site seeing tour - its just a land/water... More

What a great adventure this was, a great history of the area. We got to see the aircraft carrier "Ronald Reagan" as it was leaving the harbor. Great information, did you know the harbor had to be dredged from 8 feet to much deeper to accept the big ships. Road and water vehicle. Sit in the right side seemed to... More

I put together a day outing for a bunch of friends-- all ladies in their 60's. Between eating and shopping, I added in this SEAL tour, not knowing anything about it... just that it would be a (hopefully) relaxing interlude in our long day. We just about filled the boat, and we were a boisterous bunch. It was SO MUCH... More
