I've been to these two "islands" hundreds of times. They really don't belong grouped together. Shelter Island is closer to me and it's a great place to take a walk by the bay and see the boats of all sizes and types coming and going. You can see everything from dinghys to battleships to cruise ships on a busy beautiful... More

I had some early morning runs down to Shelter Island, the scenery and views of San Diego are just beautiful. Lots of friendly people on early morning walks. More

Shelter Island is my favorite place in San Diego to walk. Early in the morning you can even watch the cruise ships sail into the bay. More
