We went to Humphrey's for some live music and a drink and snack to end our night. The Jazz band was from Washington D.C. and they were the best Jazz Band we have ever heard! Beautiful lounge, looking out into the ocean. The people dancing were all having a fun time. We didn't dance because we were in such awe... More

Great place for entertainment, drinks and dancing. The lounge offers live music for a small cover charge. Bands are good - we enjoyed R&B.

We stumbled upon this venue and what a find. First night we saw the last set of a great blues man Chet, but his guest singer Mercedes was awesome and told us she was returning the following night. We couldn't wait and after one of the best dinners ever we watched the night come alive to the sounds of Mercedes... More

Very friendly place. Reasonable prices. You can order food after a show at Humphrey's. Usually places don't serve food that late. Nice atmosphere and clientele.

This was my first visit to San Diego. I heard about Humphrey's Backstage. I have to see what everyone is talking about. Invited my friends from our conference. We all showed up. I notice how packed it was. We weren't scared. If we were, we'd be in church by now. As soon as we sat down, my lovely waitress was... More

We went here on a Sunday afternoon and it got very crowded. The tables are packed in tightly with very litle room to move around The afternoon sun came through the big picture window overlooking the docks making it dificult to see the performers. It was also difficult to get service to the tables. It has a great dance floor... More

If you like live music, a casual atmosphere with a great view this is the place. Check the entertainment schedule online to see who's playing and you'll find a different type of music every night, so there's something for everyone. The food is good and there are nice happy hour specials. It's a great place to dance for both couples... More

We went to see a great R & B band on a Tuesday for cocktail hour. The food & drink deals were great! The singer Missy Andersen was so much fun. There must have been a dance club there because the dance floor filled up the moment the music started. Next time I am in San Diego, I will definitely... More

We were just passing by as walk-ins and were let in with no cover charge. They had a Santana tribute band on and they were really good in all departments and we had a great time in this intimate venue, marred only by an argumentative drunk man. It's my first experience of the US 'sunset' scene (a tag applied elsewhere... More
