Nice place to take a stroll, lots of ships to see. We walked one day, than the next time, we decided to rent some bikes. Lots of fun. A little difficult navigating around the crowds, but a whole of fun. Took the Trolley to Santa Fe and rented the bikes just outside the station, and rode over to Seaport Village.... More

A nice casual meandering walk along the San Diego waterfront. Plenty of restaurants, the USS Midway museum and the harbor provide vistas to enjoy and relax. The Embarcadero is on the north side with walking paths almond the bay to Seaport Village and resort hotels and the Convention Center in the south side.

Other cities have much better water-side walkways. Think San Francisco or Vancouver BC. This is mostly just concrete with a view of the harbour. Of course, if you are there, definitely do it. It's not too long. But I would not make it a destination as you have to find parking (not easy or cheap) and then find the ends... More

This is such a wonderful park to stroll through when you are visiting this area. We were staying at the Hyatt next door. We saw Seaport Village and had to walk through it on a beautiful day. We saw the Navy ships and wanted to get a closer so we walked over to discover the Embarcadero Park. We had great... More

The Embarcadero has something different going on every time we visit. It is always nice to see the USS Midway and the Star of India, but there are various cruise ships that dock in port and so many tour boats as well. The pathway is wide and flat and kept very clean. Yes, we also noticed more homeless people on... More

We have been to San Diego for conferences and vacation and have enjoyed jogging and shopping along the Embarcadero. It is nice for jogging since it is flat and scenic. We usually go into the adjacent marina parks on a jog. Unfortunately, there are dozens of homeless people now in this area which is a change from the past. So,... More

The Embarcadeo (meaning port landing) run for about a mile along Harbor Drive along the waterfront. It starts with the Waterfront Park and runs to the Convention Center to the south. Along the walk you will find several museums, the Star of India ship, the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal, Anthony's Fish Grotto, Hornblower Cruises, the USS Midway Museum, Tuna... More

The Embarcadero is located immediately across the street from our city's Administration Building, so after you have enjoyed the Embarcadero's many wonderful offerings, I highly suggest that you cross the street and check out the Administration Building's water fountain. What makes this fountain special is that it was dedicated by none other than our former First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt! :)... More

Whether you take a walk or just sit and watch that is going on, this is a great place to watch people, and ships and boats sailing in the harbor.
