This is a fantastic walk around the front in San Diego, from seeing the Maritime Museum, Star of India, the Bob Hope statues and memorials, and the ferry to Coronado. If you continue a little further you come to Seaport Village. Lovely area for walking.

We bought tickets on a last minute special deal to the Summer Pops Tribute to Ray Charles and we would both agree that the show was well worth the money - but then again it didn't cost much. We're regular attendees at the Hollywood Bowl and though it's perhaps unfair to draw comparisons, we couldn't help it (and the Summer... More

A great snapshot of downtown San Diego. Food, shops, beautiful views, boats, all along the boardwalk. You can spend all afternoon here. It's also close to the USS Midway and lots of other San Diego tourist sites.

If you are visiting San Diego you must go and take a walk or jog at the embarcadero. Lovely sights of the pacific. Sometimes they have festivals ( the naval festival, sand sculptures and more).

A wonderful venue, excellent catering phenomenal crew with golf carts to help older guests, great sound. The only downside were the porta pottys. They did not have lights in the potty so you had to use your camera to light the area. I was terrified that I would lose my IPhone 5 into the muck. The hand washing station was... More

This extension of the Embarcadero adjoins Seaport Village, and is a restful place to stroll or people-watch while taking a break from the presentations at a conference at the nearby San Diego Convention Center. (At least, that's the use I make of it!) On any day you might spot a rock balancer at work (see the accompanying photo), or just... More

Really nice waterfront walk with many restuarants and attractions. You seem to be able to walk for ever from the Hilton at the Convention Centre all the way passed the airport and beyond. Check out the parks near USS Midway with the Bob Hope memorial and the USN memorials to those lost at sea. Really easy place to lose a... More

I love being anywhere near water. The port of San Diego has a Wonderful view And has several cruise ships, restaurants, and a military ship, which is now a museum. My family and I had a nice stroll on the port.

Spend some time walking along the water. We did this after we spent some time on the USS MIdway. People watching was fun. Some homeless but they did not beg or bother us at all. Seaport Village was nice. Beautiful views of the water. Very peacful and serene. Places to park for a fee.

Lots to see walking around the Embarcadero. Anthony's Fish Grotto is there, Star of India ship and other antique ships there, sculptures, people watching and great water views.
