My husband and I loved the RIB Adventure Ride. We did early morning tour and the captain of our boat was wonderful--skilled (I wasn't afraid at all and I am a whimp). Also, the boat ride itself was fun--would have been worth it just to be out on the open waters in that vessel -- it was a blast. It... More

What an awesome way to see whales! We were so happy we did not go out on one of the bigger tourist boats. These boats are small, fast and super fun! We saw whales, dolphins, sea lions and various other wildlife like birds and fish. These boats are great because they allow the captain to go to where the action... More

This company has small (27') boats, but don't let that scare you, they are fast and very stable. Clint, our Captain, was most informative and we spent 3 hours whale watching. And YES we did see whales, and dolphins, harbour seals, sea lions etc.. These small boats carry only 8 max ( we were 6), they are fast so getting... More

Our trip the morning of October 28, 2011 was one of those moments that we'll remember, talk about and cherish for the rest of our lives! Our captain Kenny was courteous, and informative as well as fun. We saw dolphins, blue whales, hump back whales and minke whales (jackpot!) not to mention the birds, sea lions and just enjoying a... My family of five went out on a RIB ride with Clint and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We saw a mom and baby grey whale, a group of bottle nose dolphins, countless sea lions and birds and our finale was a group of six grey whales together. Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, the big boats followed our boat to... More

My wife and I decided to go with Adventure RIB Rides over the big boats to have more adventure (via a fast speedboat) and hopefully get closer to the whales. It did not disappoint in the adventure department. You wear these interesting big jumpsuits to keep you warm and dry and you zoom out into the wide ocean looking for... More

We went on an afternoon ride on a day with 5 ft swells and wind at 15 knots. My advice would be to not put children in the back row in these conditions- the spray totally soaked them even though ARR had them wrapped up in survival suits such that they looked like Oompa Loompas. Still, despite the freezing water... More

We had perfect weather, smooth waters and a great time. We only saw one grey whale but it's entirely possible to see no whales. It's a gamble we've taken before in other places and we've always lucked out. The highlight of our trip was entering the midst of two different pods of common dolphins who were playful and completely enjoyable... More

There are cheaper options for a whale watch for sure, but this is definitely a case where you pay for what you get. We had a fantastic time with just six of us (including the captain) in the RIB- 3 in our group, and another couple. Because the boat was small and fast, we were able to be nimble and... More

My wife and I arranged everything through Heather who was very helpful. There were six of us, including our Captain Clint. We saw 7-8 gray whales along with many dolphins and sea lions. A great experience! Final thought: Wear the insulated coveralls they offer you. More
