Kids spent the morning in surf school. Their wet suits were already on the beach with the boards when we arrived. After warmup they were out on the waves. Teachers made sure they spent time with each teen, and the result were gains in skill. Both enjoyed their teacher as a result.

My son took surfing lessons with Safari Surfing School and had a great time. They staff is friendly and helpful. We rented boards through them two days in a row and they were super nice. Thank for a great time!

The instructors were awesome. Children had their the best first experience and wanted to come back again. The cost was $85 for 2 hours for private lessons which includes 3 hours of gear rental. The ocean water was cold so make sure bring warm clothes with you.

I normally surf in Oceanside with Heather Pine, but since we stayed in downtown San Diego this trip I decided to try out a closer location. San Diego Surf School had some great reviews and I was hoping to catch a lot of waves during my 90 minute private lesson. FYI, if you check-in on Yelp, you can get $5... More

My wife and I took several lessons along with our nephew and we had a great time and learned a good amount. They operate a good business, are easy going and have good value packages to help you learn and have a good time. They location on the beach is great for learning as it's a sandy bottom beach break,... More

We had such a great time learning how to surf. Myles and Robin were excellent teachers. They were fun, encouraging and so patient. We booked an hour and half lesson for us and our two teenage kids with the option to use the equipment for another hour and half more after the lesson. There were two instructors for the four... Very easy going people run the place and very easy to set up an appointment. Our instructor was Brandon and he was very kick back as well. He was very helpful and informative. Lets be honest though, the beach and waves are other stars. I was surfing in the first 20 minutes and had a blast! I would definitively recommend... More

Booked with San Diego surf school for surfing lessons for me and my 2 sons (ages 13 & 16). We arrived around 10:00 for a 10:30 surf lesson. We worked with Johnny for an hour and a half, he is such and excellent and patient instructor. The experience was amazing. I even dropped my son's Go Pro Camera in the... More

Everyone was really chill and friendly. Andy was very friendly on the phone and even checked the surf reports to help us decide which day to go. We weren't sure if surfing in February was a good idea, but it turned out great! Our instructer Luis was very patient and informative. He seemed to genuinely enjoy our successes and offered... More

We were on a family vacation and the weather was only mediocre. So no lying on the beach. Instead, we signed up the 3 (grown) kids for a 1.5 hr surf lesson. They had a blast. Their instructor, chase, spent the entire time helping them each out individually, and in spite of cool weather (and cold water) and even some... More
