What a view

We were able to sail under it also, but what a huge bridge. The site from both sides are breathtaking, you see downtown, the bay, and different mountain ranges. Well worth it.

We had no idea the height of the Coronado Bridge until we drove over it. It was quite impressive considering there were no guard rails. Beautiful view looking back at San Diego and forward to Coronado.

A beautiful bridge across the bay, built high enough so our aircraft carriers can pass beneath it. The tolls have been eliminated, and Coronado Island is a great place to visit, with numerous sights, historic locations, restaurants, and shops. If you visit San Diego, you do not want to miss a visit to this island.

Wonderful engineering and artistic invention went into this great structure. You drive out of San Diego seemingly into the Ocean as you head up the span towards the peak ...then roll down the other side and realize you are heading for a lovely spit of sand jutting into the ocean. Not many cities can boast of such a wonder but... More

The bridge gives you a great view of the lovely city. We drove around the entire city and it is beautiful. It is extremely clean and it appeared to be a great area in which to live. People were walking everywhere and everything seemed very accessible. The water ways were lovely. We drove part of the scenic area by the... More

We love the drive every time we are in San Diego . This is also no toll so it is very inexpensive for such a beautiful drive and the beaches in Coronado are very well kept .

To think you could build a bridge as such as the Coronado Bridge! I've only seen two others that I could compare to this: The George Washington Bridge in New York and the Mackinnac Memorial Bridge in Michigan. I've yet to see the Golden Gate Bridge or the Pontchartrain Bridge in Louisiana.

The drive to Coronado island over the bridge is scary exciting. I am not from a place w extreme bridges and this a breath taker. The views are gorgeous and being over the sea is mind blowing.
