Hubby drove across the bridge and I was busy trying hard NOT to look down! The bridge spans a little over 2 miles and is 200 foot off the ground. I took a video and some pics. Great way to get from San Diego to Coronado. Very little traffic the day we went!

I can't say I enjoyed crossing this bridge......it is so high. The view is good as long a you do not have a phobia about heights. Coronado is a nice area with some beautiful homes and the wonderful Hotel de Coronado.

I use the bridge all the time for our trips to the beach. While the view is beautiful in either direction, this is not an actual attraction in San Diego. Drive time on the bridge itself is about 5 minutes without traffic. It's a very convenient way to get into Coronado especially since there is no longer a toll to... More

As a passenger I could appreciate the magnificent views especially good of San Diego on the return. However, as a driver, keep your eyes on the road not the scenery!!!

We took a taxi to Coronado. Taxi is too low to get the full view but it was still pretty. Was expecting to be able to see more. All in all, just a taxi ride.

If driving in San Diego, you know how quick and easy it is to get around. Take the trip across the bridge into Coronado, travel down the business district (Orange St) and locate some free 2hr parking just off the main drag. Walk across to the Hotel Del Coronado, have lunch, explore the lobby or just walk the beach. It... More

I guess the bridge used to have a tool, but it's free now. Every time I'm in San Diego and I see if off the 5, I want to just drive across, turn around, and drive back.

This is a great structure that is curved so that it reaches a height for naval vessels to sail under. We saw this marvel from below and above and were amazed at its beauty.

The bridge is perfect for pictures of San Diego harbour. Pictures look like postcards. Coronado was beautiful. The beaches and the hotel were gorgeous.
