Great boat and crew

I was in San Diego recently and was able to get some deep diving in with Marissa Dive Charters. The day I was there we did the U.S.S. Hogan wreck (125 feet deep). The boat was set... read more

I booked a 3 tank wreck dive online. I live about 8 hours away so wanted to confirm they had enough divers for the boat to go out so I would not waste my time driving from Northern CA. I emailed numerous times, left several messages, even texted the number on their website. Not a single response. I will never... More

Myself and 10 fellow divers booked the boat for three days of 3 tank diving. The locations the boat crew took us to were great (kelp forest, wrecks) the service on the boat left much to be desired. We ordered nitrox a month ahead of time and they were unable/willing to provide it. Excuses ranged from; our analyzer was stolen,... More

I had a dive accident (smashed finger in boat ladder) in October of 2014. Had to go to be rushed to the hospital for stitches and nail reconstruction. The dive boat NEVER contacted me to see if I was okay. Nothing, nada, no contact ever. The Coast Guard, hospital and doctor all called for follow up but nothing from the... More

We have been diving in Southern California for 18 years. When diving the San Diego kelp beds or wreck alley, we always choose the Marissa. Lora and her crew do an excellent job. Good dive briefings, lots of help with gear etc. and lots of yummy food. Having Nitrox fills available is a huge plus. Surface interval snuggle time with... More

We made a special trip to San Diego to dive the wrecks off the Marissa. The crew was great, the food yummy (thanks for a nice lunch with the 3-tank trip!). We had a good time, and the other divers were very nice.

I would write a review based on the actual diving, but I can't because I never got to. I started communications through email, which I received one response to. Then I had repeatedly called and left messages. The one time I did get through to a person, they told me they would call me right back and never did. It... More

I have had the chance of going out on the Marissa several times this summer and every trip has been a great experience. They have a very professional and knowledgeable crew, that nonetheless know how to keep things fun and to make everybody feel well taken care of.

Great boat and great crew (Lora, Dan, Tyler, Ash, Robbin and everyone else!!) Super friendly and helpful staff, good snacks in between dives, (plus hot water bags for the chilly days!) Onboard air compressor with full nitrox blending too! I book charters on the Marissa before I even book my flights to San Diego!
