We attended a play but also went on a tour ($5 per person). Quite interesting and play was very good - Time & the Conways. We sat in the balcony second row for $33 per person - seats were excellent - you don't need to spend any more than this unless you want to throw $$ away. Purchase of ticket... More

We have been subscribers for 20+ years. While we have enjoyed some plays more than others, they are always very well produced and really well acted,

I have been a season ticket holder for 30 years. The plays in the last few years have improved a lot and in many cases, especially in the summer, the Old Globe makes a great venue for theater enjoyers.

I am not sure if it was just because great performance but we both loved the theatre. Kind of "old fashion" building, very nice

This is a great place to see a show. My boyfriend and I got a chance to see "Other Desert Cities" last year, it's a play about a family from Palm Springs. I really enjoyed the experience. It had been a long time since I'd seen a play. If you're itching for a theater experience, see if you can snag... More

We went here for A Winter's Tale. It was a very dark, dramatic play, however the performance was great. Parking wasn't an issue because we went in the evening and walked from the main parking lot about a block's length away. The venue is very nice and the staff friendly. I love live theater, and I loved it here.

Shakespeare at its best. Summers shine here, but being San Diego the weather is almost always temperate. Tony award winning theatre, wonderful three venues. Great location. Close to Banker Hill restaurants and downtown nightlife. Parking can be difficult

Great location in the heart of Balboa Park. We saw the Grinch. It was awesome! I would recommend going and seeing a show while checking out Balboa Park!

After years of hearing how great this theater is, we attended several performances over a six-month period at the Globe's three theaters and come away with a reaction of "meh". We saw a musical in the main theater which was delightful. Then we purchased season tickets to the summer theater - big mistake! While costumes were good, the acting was... More
