First rate theatrical performances done by professional and in many cases, famous actors. For example, Rita Moreno opened her one woman show here before taking it to Broadway. We try to go at least a couple of times per year as we visit our children and grandchildren every 6-8 weeks. More

I have been a subscriber for many years and almost always enjoy the plays I see. The productions are first rate with wonderful sets and terrific acting. The only negative is that there isn't much leg room. More

San Diego's beautiful Old Globe Theater is the venue for this musical about a dark period in U.S. history. It is the story of nine black boys who boarded a train to look for work. The boys were accused of raping two white girls. Although all of the boys were innocent of the crime, they were all found guilty. This... More

I've seen over 4 plays here and Im still mesmerized by the level of talent at this amazing cottage reminiscent of an Old English play theatre. When in Balboa, dont forget too look up the plays being shown! More

There are 4 theaters here which is in the middle of Balboa Park. I've ushered for the Old Globe and they have fantastic performances. In the summer the outdoor theater has Shakespeare plays - very well done. More

San Diego really is a great town for theater. The Old Globe is a wonderful setting for both new and revived plays. It's intimate enough to make you feel a part of the play and sophisticated enough that it challenges your mind and your heart. More

We never visit San Diego without seeing a performance at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park. All the seats have a great view of the performance. We just saw The Scottsboro Boys and it was a spectacular performance by a talented cast. Before the show we stop in to The Prado for a quick bite in the bar restaurant. More

Good movie turned into a great live musical. The music was superb and the acting great. Would have loved more of the semi-nude scene! More

We are season ticket holders and don't think there has ever been a bad show. . . some better than others - and some fantastic. The White Theater ALWAYS has wonderful productions in a theater in the round setting. The Old Globe is glorious - loving being in there. More
