Our time at Mission Beach was perfect! We started it off by wandering through Belmont Park and then headed into the waves. The tide was pretty strong the day we went, and the waves were fairly large. My friends and I had a great time jumping into the surf. The beach/sand was clean and perfect for soaking up some sun!... More

Beautiful wide beach, clean, lifeguards present. Great paved walking/bike path the whole length of the beach. No toilets or services. We stayed in a condo right on the beach and had only to cross the path to get there. Mission beach is lined with condos, and there are short dead end streets that access the bike path, but no real... Easy to get to, parking can be touch& go (we went weekend & weekday with horse shoes... Cause got parking BOTH days). Went down by life guard hut 20 or 21 as there were less ppl, sand was les disturbed & the waves were crashing in front of us:) we strolled down the boardwalk with our coffees, had beach time,... Great place to hang out, tan, walk, good restaurants. I rented a bike for only $8 for an hour; $20 for the whole day. I rode to Pacific Beach along the bike path that goes along the beach. It's not very far and is all flat. I enjoyed watching the surfers and stayed to see the sunset also. Nice, clean... More

Mission Beach is the place to be. It is the epicenter of the southern California beach lifestyle. Sun, surf, boardwalks, bikes, rollerbladers, skaters, etc; it all intertwines here at the intersection of Mission Bay Dr. and Mission Blvd. The beaches are clean, friendly, and inviting. This beach is so much more laid back than the frat boy/bro culture over at... More

This is a wonderful place well known for its variety of water sports including kayaking, sailing, kite surfing. Very near to SeaWorld and Very far from "TENSION"... everyone seems so happy here... don't know whether this is the magic or the beauty of this beach. Sorry Mr. McDonalds.... but this time.... I'm Loving it :)

The beach of Mission Beach (or Pacific Beach) stretches for about 4 miles, starting at Tourmaline Surfing Park and heads south to the jetty. Along the way there are places to surf, fish off Crystal Pier, swim, boogie board, or just take in the sights while people watching. The crowd is made up of college age kids, old sun-dried leather-skinned... More
