The beach of Mission Beach (or Pacific Beach) stretches for about 4 miles, starting at Tourmaline Surfing Park and heads south to the jetty. Along the way there are places to surf, fish off Crystal Pier, swim, boogie board, or just take in the sights while people watching. The crowd is made up of college age kids, old sun-dried leather-skinned... More

Beautiful area, amazingly clean white sandy beach. Well patrolled by life guards and other staff. If water sports are your thing this s the place to be. You can rent almost anything you need. We stuck to bicycles, us landlubbers! Plenty to do so 4-5 days should be long enough. So peaceful in the evening, not many bars or restaurants... More

For a boy from the prairies, now living in the foothills of the Rockies, pretty much any beach is a great beach! : ) We thoroughly enjoyed this beach, watching the surfers, and the boys built sand castles for hours! It was easy to access, washrooms were clean and close by and parking was easy for beach access.

This beach has a rollercoaster & carnival games. The bathrooms by the main lifeguard station were clean & in good repair. When we went the ocean was full of seaweed, not sure if this is normal or not for this beach. Parking was good.

We just spent a week in San Diego and visited quite a few beaches. This ended up being our favorite and our starting and ending point nearly every day. It always had lots of room to setup. It also always had good waves for starter surfing but no crazy rip-tides to worry about. The other thing we liked was the... More

Nice beach with plenty of room for visitors. No where to buy drinks and food though. Alabama has beautiful Snow White beaches, but of course I'm partial to home!

We stayed right on the beach in a rental for a week with family. Lots of restaurants and activities. Properties are very close. Beach and boardwalk are great. The boardwalk goes for miles right on the beach. Sand is very clean. But be warned.. No alcohol is allowed on beach or boardwalk

If you must go to this beach, shoot for first thing in the morning. Parking is simply a nightmare. Once you get to the beach it is overcrowded. We opted to try the beaches on Coronado Island and we were not disappointed.

I have nothing good to say about this beach other than go a little farther north. It is basically a dirty beach with visitors that relate to that. Consider another beach.
