Spent 5 days here, with a great view of this beach. Mornings are fabulous, quiet, calm, relaxing, cool. Afternoons see lots of people, walking, biking, beaching, surfing, etc. Evenings are really packed with people, starts clearing out by 8pm in the summer. Obviously a hip place to be. Decent choice of restaurants and shops in either direction too - which... More

We had so much fun visiting this beach. We were traveling with 4 young kids and they all had a blast.

Fun waves for the older children to play in - we went to this beach and to Coronado beach, and both are comparable.

It's a beach town on a little strip of land extending from Pacific Beach to South Mission by one street, Mission Blvd. There are tons of small bikini shops, restaurants, and stores of all kinds, including bike rentals and other beach/ocean rental equipment. There are also two large water sports companies where you can take lessons and rent sailboats, kayaks,... More

Mission Beach is the crowedest Beach in San Diego. It Starts after the Pacific Beach are which is the sporty area of this Beach. There is a nice restaurant called Wavehouse, a Rollercoaster and a big shoppingarea where you can get all kinds of stuff, from Bikinis to Icecream. Really nice and lovely party of San Diego a must to... More

The beach is very nice. The water is cold. There is virtually no place to park. Once you are through with the beach, there is little left except for the vendors hawking t shirts and other momentos. We all liked going there, but even our grandkids were ready to leave after an hour or so.

A nice place to visit, I visited personally to take photos specifically, but there were plenty of people enjoying the sunshine and the water. There was a decent amount of parking and accommodations were pretty convenient in terms of parking and getting to the beach. The atmosphere was great and I would visit again, there is plenty of space to... More

Nice beach, soft sand, lots of seaweed, cold water. We much prefer Florida Gulf Coast beaches for swimming and sunbathing, but you just half to dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean when in California!

Spent the day walking up and down the beach with friends. Lots to see and do with the rides and shopping. A must in SD!
