Lovely beach and great place to watch the sunset!

Vast expanse of sandy beach, with wave breaking on the shore. Very therapeutic and wonderful place to watch the sun set.

We recently visited Mission Beach with a soccer team and their parents after a tournament. It's very touristy, but you can't beat the beach, and if you're staying, visiting Belmont Park. It's not the cleanest tourist attraction, but any family would be okay hanging out for a few hours with their kids. It's definitely not a resort type of location,... More

Visited the beach at sunset with my two granddaughters (ages 2 & 4) DIL, and 77 yr old mother. This was my mothers very first visit to an ocean and she walked along the beach, watched the waves, and the surfers. There was a bike path along the beach with bikers and rollerbaders. Volleyball nets were set up on the... More

Boutique Bungalows is a B&B in Mission Beach - Wongaling Beach situated between North and South Mission beach. The owners have three luxury bungalows set in a rainforest garden (1 acre), far enough apart to provide complete privacy. The accommodation is spotless and even has a kitchenette not normally found in a B&B. Hostess Sharon bakes delicious afternoon teas and... More

My partner and I spent a spring day here in April 2015 and loved it. Great weather, beautiful water and we even saw/swam near a couple of whales that were migrating. I would love to go back and spend more days like it.

we biked from downtown to here,,(over weekdays) not sure how it would be, but it was soo good, came back second day to relax. don't have to bike from downtown to bike on a beach, there are bike rentals here and that saves time and energy too. as told came twice on weekday, not too crowded, can pick a spot... Really nice beach! Safe from rocks and cliffs! Has a main lifeguard station there! You can rent just about anything to play in the water! Lots of food! The Belmont Park Rollercoaster! A boardwalk that's a mile + and warm sunshine! Lots of rentals form here up through Pacific beach too!

I love Mission because there is so much to do. It's a nice place to stroll (or rollerblade, skateboard, etc...). There are shops and restaurants along the boardwalk, a small amusement park, some fire pits and volleyball nets. It can get pretty crowded and parking can be tough, but it's a nice spot to check out

I am not located in a coastal city so I love any and all beaches. Mission Beach is beautiful. The sand was fine and smooth and the water was so warm with a lot of waves. There were a lot of surfers near by but the water wasn't too rough that I couldn't go wading it in. Next time I... More

This is a great beach for a still. It was not busy at all on Monday, and we could enjoy the beautiful unobstructed view of the ocean. I could imagine it can get very busy on weekends, but still make time to visit: beach is relatively clean, there are lifeguards on duty, and atmosphere is relaxed and laid back.
