Love the atmosphere here. Just a nice place to walk around--rides, shops, food. Try Zozo's pizza--it's good!

We were at Mission Beach with our grandchildren. We all loved it. My son and grand son rode their rental bikes every day. the five year old sat on a seat on the back of her dad's bike. Grandpa and I walk along the Bay-less crowded than walking along the ocean. We loved looking at the boats and the houses.... More

The beach is great for fun in the sun. Plenty of room to play football or try out surfing for your first time. The boardwalk is full of walkers, jogging, long board or skate boards, and bikes. There is plenty of shopping and many choices for food for all ages.

A nice, flat wide open stretch of beach that was good for lounging. Was quite busy when we were there, lots of families and teens. Wasn't too busy when we were there (probably a little chilly for native Southern Californians) but we spent a few afternoon hours just chillaxin' on the beach. Seemed clean, the sand was soft, wide and open, good waves to jump in (though too cold for one of our kids, the other got in no problem), vendors lining the boadwalk for... More

It was kind of quiet on the beach when I was there. Very clean beach without garbage laying around. There was some scattered sea weed on the beach but that was not a problem at all. Definitely go here. Also, ride the old roller coaster while in the area!

We enjoyed this beach ~ many young people with some families and older people. Easy to access the beach from the street side parking.
