We spent a couple days in mission beach and enjoyed our stay. The beach is beautiful. The concrete boardwalk is a nice place to run, bike, and walk. Lots of interesting houses to see. The boardwalk does get pretty crowded, and I enjoyed walking more on the quieter bay side. It's about a 5 mile run going down the boardwalk... More

The beach goes on for miles, the sand is clean, the water warm and there are plenty of places to eat or drink along the way Really liked the wide sidewalk

Mission Beach is a great beach community, and a great place to watch the sunset along the miles-long beachside concrete boardwalk through the town. The boardwalk gets VERY crowded just before sunset as everyone turns out for the show, with kids running around and bikes and runners weaving through the crowds. With the amusement park and the typical beach vibe,... More

What a lovely place to ride bicycles, run, or enjoy the ocean. We rode bikes along the footpath and enjoyed putting our feet in the surf.

Great location and easy parking. Rented a cruiser bike and rode down the board walk and then on the sandy beach.

I have wanted to visit California for a long time. When opportunity arose, I could hardly contain my excitement. Mission Beach has always been a top on my list to visit, ever since I first played Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. You can go to an area modeled after Mission Beach and in fact, in GTA: V, it's been remodeled... More

The beach was beautiful and we loved the sunset. We spent the day walking along the sidewalk and in the sand. Belmont park was nice.

We went to Mission Beach on a December afternoon to see if we could see the sunset. It was blowing a gale and we spent about 30 seconds on the Boardwalk and then took cover in the many t-shirt shops nearby.

A great day out can be had a Mission Beach, San Diego situated in an upmarket area of the city, Mission Beach is a hub for the young, old and families alike. Great sandy beach but don't be surprised if you see a shark nearby but these sharks are bottom eaters and no threat to humans, they can startle you... More

We enjoyed the beach here. In mid-winter it was nice and quiet. My wife boogy boarded and I sat and enjoyed the sun, the sounds and the sights. Parking is a challenge in the area, but other than that it's great.
