Great place to people watch. Interesting to everyday people. Cleanliness a plus with lots to see and do.

We rented a cottage between Mission Boulevard and the Beach-- it was a perfect family vacation! So much to do and see! We were steps from Mission Beach-- life guards, well-maintained, clean, patrolled, boardwalk, and simply great for families!

Enjoy this area in the fall..our best time of year for san diego. simply beautiful bike riding! Summer is a little too wild down here so late august to Oct is awesome. resorts or private beach homes - either way do some research as parts can be not as nice as others.

Great beach, but crowded and difficult parking. Go early and you shouldn't have these problems. Part of the San Diego experience!

The ocean views are gorgeous, beach is lovely, and if you want something to do other than enjoy the beach, there are plenty of options! There are surf leasons, restaurants, shops, an amusement park, and more. All-around positive experience!

When we first arrived there I loved the boardwalk with the shops, rides, and the people watching. It's exactly like I pictured a popular west coast beach. However, once I actually got on the beach I was disappointed. There was seaweed everywhere. I realize its a beach, and some beaches have seaweed, but this was gross. There were piles of... More

Did some boogie boarding and digging in the sand. A very nice beach. We were sort of central, and there were no facilities attached to the beach that I could see.

Very beautiful beach, the most beautiful we have been to in San Diego. The waves are great and the sand is powdery.

We arrived at Mission Beach and there was heaps of parking available. This beach is very family orientated with an amusement park, cafes, ice cream etc. The beach was clean and lots of space for sunbathing/family activities. There is a boardwalk along the beach front where the cafes and bars are located.
