I have always loved this whole neighborhood of San Diego; the port, the harbor, the ships, various piers, docks, equipment, and their functions. The village itself is not the typical tourist-y kind of money trap that you might expect. It's brimming with fun and unique shops and lots and lots of great opportunities to dine by the bay. The people... More

So enjoyed the sites and sounds at Seaport Village. Lots of unique shops and eateries beside a beautiful view. The old fashioned merry-go-round was a nice touch to this clean and family fun park.

We stayed at the Grand Manchester Hyatt in San Diego for a conference and right outside on the waterfront is the remarkable Seaport Village .. very diverse collection of eateries and shops -- some touristy, some local, some eclectic, some street vendors - even public bathrooms .. options span the priceyness range .. very clean, very safe-feeling .. great open... The village is located very close to the Marina and the walk and view is very scenic. The stores and restaurants and scattered and really do resemble a village with fountains and greenery on cobbled paving in between. There are buskers which add to the atmosphere. Outdoor seating and eating is very popular here. The stores were very unique and... More

This is a short walk from the Marriott. There are some small shops and resturants located here. It is a nice walk along the Marina as well.

It is a large area with various shops and restaurants. We did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the food quality. The view of Coronado bridge and the water was lovely. The shops were nothing special, but everyone was very friendly, the prices weren't outrageous and I really enjoyed the wandering from shop to shop. Note: if you... More

We stayed in San Diego for 3 nights. Our Hotel was right by the Seaport Village. It is the coolest place, right on the water. Lots of stores and restaurants to close from. There is a historical carousel on the property too ( very nicely preserved ) All the staff in the stores seem very nice.

This collection of tourist-catering snack shops, restaurants and trinket shops selling San Diego and Seaside T-shirts & niki-naks is flanked by several large hotels and the SD Convention Center. It, along with adjoining grassy park areas, provides a place for visitors to enjoy an outside stroll and get some fresh air. Frequently, there may be one or more freelance entertainers,... More

From the great waterfront location to the shops to the restaurants, this is a great place to spend the day. Some of the shops are quite unique. There is an antique Carousel. The last time we were there, there was a busking competition with jugglers, balancing artists and much more. We like parking at Old Town and taking the tram... More
