We've visited San Diego a number of times and never stopped by to enjoy the park until this trip when we decided to skip Sea World and the zoo. What a fantastic idea...and we wish we had more time here. The park is beautiful and you could spend a day or two enjoying the museums. Our 7 year old loved... More

Went to the zoo, but spent too much on admission. We didn't realize that there were multiple different types of admissions. Was a result we paid way too much for admission. We got things that we never intended to use, like safari park.

We decided that after visiting the auto museum last year we would make a return visit here after a gap of 5 years. Visitors will find the place crammed with interesting artifacts but the lighting could be a lot better and the aircraft could be better laid out, its a case of less would be best as far as I... Balboa Park is FABULOUS. It doesn't seem to be one of the "premiere" places to visit when in San Diego, but once you've done all the typical tourist places, visit Balboa Park...I promise, you'll be back! There are numerous museums - something for anyone's interest, and the architecture alone is worth walking around. It's very quiet and peaceful on weekdays,... More

Balboa Park is the Hub of many attractions in San Diego. The San Diego Zoo, Art Galleries, Museums and outdoor attractions. We visited on a Sunday in early March and the weather was perfect. The International village had a display of Flamenco dancers which we stopped off and watched after visiting the Motor Museum. The park itself has various buildings... More

Parking is the problem, but available on the east side early in the morning. Don't miss the artists' colony on the east side or the two art museums on the west side. The zoo is worth a second trip.

Valboa Park is a great way to spend an afternoon; loads of great museums, pathways, horticulture, artisan shops and an outstanding restaurant.
