BEAUTIFUL PARK

This is a gorgeous park, with something for everyone - museums, gardens and even the zoo! We thoroughly enjoyed it. A must-see if you are visiting San Diego.

Balboa Park is beautiful. You could just walk in the park for hours and enjoy it. But, in addition to the Zoo, it has every kind of museum possible. From the Natural History and Fleet Science Center to the Art Museum and Museum of Man, you will experience museums that are a nice surprise - like Photography and Trains. There... More

What an amazing place -- beautiful gardens, museums, artist displays, architecture, and so much more. It's right near the zoo, but I would suggest spending two different days on each sight.

Combine this with the zoo, and if you are energetic a walk through the gaslight. Unchaging weather, nice grounds, a dog park which is worth stopping in just for fun / if I lived there it would be part of my mental backyard.

There was a Titanic exhibit there. The hundredth anniversary of the sinking. They had plenty of artifacts. You were given a ticket with the name of someone that really sailed on the Titanic and at the end of the exhibit was a wall with all the names and you could see if your person lived or drowned. It was sad... More
