The Globe theatre did a great job with htis - 14th year in a row. It made our holiday very special as it was such a colouful fun show. You need lots of time to your the rest of Balboa Park - we ran out of time for such a beaiful park with so many sites to see.

There is an amazing train set-up made from Legos that would amaze anyone who has ever played with these blocks. It costs $8 for an adult, but one child gets in free with a paying adult.

There are a great variety of things to do in Balboa Park, including just sitting on the grass and people watching. The museums appeal to varied interests and the theaters and restaurants offer different levels of options. The one down side is the parking but they have made efforts to provide additional lots with shuttle service.

Its another world up here...even before you go to any of the Museums it begins to cast its spell, gently relaxing tensed up city nerves. Take your time, bring a picnic, its your palace.

What a surprise!! High on a hill, a great place to spend a day. Historic buildings, beautiful gardens (the cactus garden is a must!), glass house with exotic plants. The outdoor pipe organ concert (Sundays only, I think). Restaurants abound for everything from a quick snack to a full meal. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was... More
