With the addition of our very own Turken Frisel, the petting zoo has become even more unusual and exciting. These are only a few of the animals that we have in our petting zooThe Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is proud to be the home of the White Buffalo "TUKOTA" (Too-ko-ta). I had mixed thoughts about visiting this site after reading reviews. What I think we need to keep in mind is this is one of the only opportunities for area residents to see some of the exotic animals. That doesn't mean the habitats/enclosures can be lacking, however. Let me start at the beginning. We arrived and purchased our tickets. received... More

Daughter enjoyed the animal feeding. Train ride was comfortable. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Some enclosures were quite small. Would have preferred to seen domestic kind of animals only as opposed to exotic animals.

Nice little zoo/park. Kids seems to enjoy feeding the animals especially the giraffe! The bear and tiger area do need to be in a larger open area instead of a cage. To see some changes would definitely make this place more enjoyable. There is quiet a bit of land so expanding doesn't seem to be a problem.

Anyone who thinks this place is great is sick in the head. The enclosures are too small. That poor lion, you can hear him roar in the evening when the park is closed, is stuck in a tiny concrete and metal pen. It's pitiful. The buffalo, giraffes, zebras and cattle are allowed to roam around but all the other animals... More

Prices weren't too bad, cute gift shop. The cages were a little small for the animals though. Plenty of grass for grazing animals. I recommend the giraffe feeding, the trolley ride through the acres, and the horse back riding. Overall pretty fun.

This was one of the saddest parks I have ever seen. The lion was pacing back and forth in its tiny concrete cage with a metal table in the middle. The buffalos seemed to have some sort of skin disease. The monkeys were in tiny cages along with the giraffes. This place is seriously disgusting and sad and should be... More

This was pathetic. I felt so bad for the animals. I took my kids and we had to leave after walking through the "petting zoo" part. The animals were in tiny cages, barley any grass. Like animal jail! it was just heart breaking. DO NOT GO HERE.

This was one of the worst safari parks I have ever been to the animal enclosures are tiny and the turf in them are pathetic for animals to live on. The parrots are in small home cages. Horrible co.editions and terribly over priced.

Advertised 300 Buffalo's and only had 30 or so. The staff was very friendly. Wife and I were the only customers for the hourly tour and were surprised that we were given the full experience. The tour guide stopped and allowed us to get close and feed the buffalo's. My wife loved the less than 8 our old buffalo calf... More
