With rabbits, turkeys, pigmy goats, pot belly pigs "Lucy" the miniature cow, "Bucky" the fallow deer, and some miniature horses. With the addition of our very own Turken Frisel, the petting zoo has become even more unusual and exciting. These are only a few of the animals that we have in our petting zooThe Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is proud to be the home of the White Buffalo "TUKOTA" (Too-ko-ta). A white buffalo is considered by the Sioux Indian tribes to be the most sacred living thing you could encounter. « less

We went because our birthday girl loves giraffes. You can feed the giraffes, and she loved it! There are not many animals, but you can feed most that they do have. More

These animals are in bad shape... and the living conditions are horrible: a bear in a small concrete cage... sheep with hooves so badly in need of trims (the alpaca was much much much worse - trust me - it's cruel to let them grow that long and twisted)... an emaciated calf... tiny monkeys alone in tiny cages sucking their... Have been to this location several times over the years, including several children's birthday parties. They do a really good job with the tours through the grounds, and it is very interesting and fun to walk around and see all of the animals, especially when there are new babies. More

This is not a big zoo, but the website and advertising lets you know that before hand. We went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. My daughter loved petting the animals and feeding the giraffes. She even rode the pony which surprised me. The bus ride was the best part because the camel came right up to... More

We made a quick day trip to Tupelo from Memphis during the week between Christmas and New Year's, specifically to go to this park after a friend told me about it. It was my husband, our adult son and myself. For the most part, it was pretty fun. The day we went, it was not too cold, which made it... More

Similar to another reviewer, park had strengths and weaknesses. Strength was open prairie for animals to roam and getting to feed them. Feeding giraffes was great, no line and could stay as long as you want. Bad part was lion and bear cage, very tiny, no room to move hardly, and no mates. There was also a camel who had... More

For just over $50, our family of five spent four enjoyable hours here. While it bills itself as the Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo, it is not large as you would expect a "zoo" to be. In fairness, though, they don't advertise themselves to be large, and in looking at their promo materials we could tell they were not. They... More
