Keep the vehicle parked, the best way to see the sites in Down town Boston is to use a hop on/ hop off trolley Trolley tours offer an extremely informative narrated tour with entertaining driver/guides. Old Town worked great for us! Our first day in town we took the trolley and did not get off, but got a narrated tour... More

We didn't use this trolley as much as we thought we would because everything is so close. One of the tour guides was excellent and we could hear him easily, but the other one was hard to hear. Don't know if he spoke too low or the microphone wasn't very good on that bus. I wouldn't have wanted to stay... More

Don't even think about driving around Boston to see the sites. Trolley tours offer an extremely informative and numerous tour with entertaining driver/guides. Plenty of hop on/hop off stops that allowed us target our visits. The 45minute harbour cruise s included in the cost and gives an excellent perspective of the Boston skyline.

The best way to see the sites in Downtown Boston is to use a hop on/ hop off trolley. Old Town worked great for us! Our first day in town we took the trolley and did not get off, but got a narrated tour from our driver and really got the feel for what we wanted to see. Then we... More

We used the trolley on a Thursday. There was a 20-60 minute wait at each stop to get on. We almost took the subway instead and the whole idea is to use the trolley to easily and quickly get around. The tour was excellent though. The drivers are fun and knowledgeable. Old town has a lot of stops compared to... More

There are currently five hop-on, hop-off options in Boston. I cannot comment on the others but I can recommend Old Town Trolley Tours. The trolleys were clean with relatively comfortable seats and it's always fun to ride a trolley! They have two routes but the Green Route essentially takes you by most of Boston's sights, roughly following the Freedom Trail... More

We bought a 2 day pass on this hop on hop off Trolley bus. It included a harbour cruise as well. We found it to be a great and cheap way to see most of the tourist sites in Boston. We enjoyed seeing the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, USS Constitution, Freedom Trail, Boston Common ( under renovation!), Quincy's... More

All drivers on this tour were very knowledgeable of sights on routes. $37 each includes free harbor cruise. Great value to see all major Boston sights. Hop on or off as often as you like (trolley every 10-15 minutes). Boston parking is scarce & expensive, so this is an economical way of getting around. Your hotel should be able to... More

This was recommended to me by a friend. Think it's very cost-effective if you are new to the Boston area. You can see quite a few of the sites, and you can get on and off the trolley at several destinations near attractions. Driving around in Boston is crazy, And if you are new to the area probably is worth... More

This tour is fantastic. It is an easy way of seeing Boston. Hop on and hop off as often as you wish. The drivers are excellent and have many anecdotes to share with the passengers. We spent two days on the trolley tour to visit almost all locations. The service runs very frequently so after visiting an attraction you don't... More
