This place is amazing. The theater is old, but truly majestic. The seats were great, the sound was amazing and the price very reasonable. We arrived a few minutes early and waited in the beautiful lobby until the house opened. The lobby is small, but ornate. The staff was professional and we found our seats easily. The performance left me... More

I saw Dance Cuba yesterday afternoon. I am visiting and my cousin came down from Maine. She dances, I don't but suggested we see this for something to do since both of us have been to Boston numerous times. The theater itself is very intimate and I think every seat is probably good. We sat in row P on the... More

Ok...the play lived up to expectations. But the seats...really? Absolutely the most uncomfortable seats of any theatre in my experience. The acoustics up in back of the mezzanine were poor as well. So I guess the play was fine, but the theatre experience awful. A beautiful place, but not if you have to sit there for two hrs.

This theatre was beautiful! Saw the Book of Mormon on its opening night. The building was a little warm with that many people but it was so pretty I barely cared. It's worth going just to take in the art work.

Saw Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin at this theatre. He was so great, run ,do not walk to get tickets. It was the best 2 hour show which will close Aug 2.Every seat seems good.Sat in the 12th row but could have sat anywhere in this restored theatre.A remarkable portrait of Irving Berlin with so many of his songs from this remarkable actor.

Great acoustics and sight lines. The ushers were college students and very helpful. Just a lovely place to see a live performance.

When you walk into this buidling, your jaw will drop. The architecture and details are phenomial. We have attended many different types of events in this theatre: from Emerson College's presentations, EVVYs, and Emerson Arts productions from Shakespeare to modern plays. The seating capacity is expansive with multiple levels, and the acoustics are great from any location. Well done, Emerson... More
