When you walk into this buidling, your jaw will drop. The architecture and details are phenomial. We have attended many different types of events in this theatre: from Emerson College's presentations, EVVYs, and Emerson Arts productions from Shakespeare to modern plays. The seating capacity is expansive with multiple levels, and the acoustics are great from any location. Well done, Emerson... More

I have ben a subscriber to many theatre companies, and have enjoyed theatre in New York City, London (England), Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Stratford (Ontario), Niagara on the Lake, as well as numerous productions in Boston and the Berkshires. Last night I had the privilege of experiencing true Brilliance in a performance of THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL with Cicely Tyson, Vanessa... More

Was involved with the restoration and still can't believe the transformation from a long neglected venue to the true gem that it is today. It is the most intimate setting and yet can facilitate a wide variety of performances. Our favorite is the Christmas Celtic Sojourn which is a must attend each December. Highly recommend attending any production they offer... More

I have season tickets for ArtsEmerson who has regular productions in the Majestic. I love coming here, it feels as though you step back in time the moment you walk into the lobby with all its faded glory; in a moment, you are transported.

We traveled to Boston Easter weekend for a performance of Die Fledermaus. The theatre is very beautiful, the acoustics are marvelous and we just really enjoyed ourselves.

Just returned from a private event sponsored by Mr. Cutler. The architecture inside is just beautiful and very well cared for (it's a vary old building). The seats are good sized and spaced comfortably (unlike the Colonial Theatre), the acoustics are great as is the view (and we were in the last row, Orchestra).

I have been to Cutler Majestic Theater a few times for opera performances as part of the Boston Early Music Festival. The interior decoration is indeed majestic, and it is a great venue for opera performances. My wife and I have sat in the Balcony on the two most recent occasions, in the first row, and had a great view... More

I have been to Cutler Majestic Theatre a couple of times to see/hear Baroque opera as part of the Boston Early Music Festival, and it is a great place to showcase all the wonderful music and inventive staging of these events! Most recently, I sat in the first row of the Balcony, and I not only had a perfect view... More
