Very entertaining!

This show was delightfully entertaining. It's playing in a small, intimate cabaret where every seat is good. It's informal and there is audience participation.

Shear Madness is more pantomime than play. If you are in the mood for corny 'topical' jokes, stereotype characters and 60's sitcom dialogue, then its OK. Have several drinks before during and after the show and you'll survive. I didn't and had to leave at the interval. This was at the Kennedy Center Washington DC. 9th April. There were a... More

This was an unexpected idea...I LOVED it...I totally enjoyed the acting, venue, and the humor. It was more fun for me cause I worked in salons for over 20 years and could relate...If you are in the Boston area get tickets for it...you wont be disappointed!

I first saw this show over 30 years ago. I revisited it on Sunday with out of town friends. The premise remains the same...murder of a famous pianist who lives over a hair salon. The jokes remain topical and up to date and must change almost daily. The concept remains that the murder takes place, the audience "question" the potential... More

My husband, college age daughter, and I attended Shear Madness on a snowy Saturday night in Boston. We had a great time. The actors are both experts at their craft and a lot of fun as they engage with the audience. They are brave to have us audience members practically on stage with them, but given that you have to... Murder mystery set in a beauty parlor: Unbelievable the show has been running for over 30 years and is still fresh, funny, and current! The show is scripted to a point, there is also improv and audience participation. Pay close attention to the details, there is a test! - Cast is high energy and fully engaged (and engaging). - Dialogue:... More

Loved it loved it loved it!!! It is my third time seeing this show and I can't wait to see it again. The cast were amazing. It was my daughters first time seeing it. She loved it! We sat in the front row. Her favorite character was Tony. She can't wait to go again. Highly recommend it!

I wasn't really sure what to expect after reading the description, but my entire group had a great time. The playhouse is very small, so you feel like you are right on the stage, which is good, because this is an interactive show...a comedy whodunit. The audience gets to ask questions of the cast which could have impacts on the... More
