We have seen several shows here now and we are never disappointed. Beautiful and charming visit with elegant details.

As others have said, this theatre lets people in even after the show starts. If you want to see the show, Don't pay money here, see it somewhere else. They do not care if you see none of it! I know, I asked to see the manager and explained it is a big deal for my family to buy tickets... More

Had a great time seeing Mowtown the Musical. Glad to see that I can sit in there seats. I'm 6'4 so seating for me can be difficult. I would have liked to see more audience participation but even so a great entertaining show. Can't wait to go back.

We've been here five times for The Nutcracker. It's a good excuse to dress up and most of the attendees do. If I had to criticize I'd say that they should open their doors earlier (1/2 hour maybe?), as there is just a "crush" of people trying to get into their seats at the same time, which takes some of... MY first visit ever to the Boston Opera House - a wonderful venue to see the touring cast of Motown, the musical. So happy to be in a venue that actually has seats that aren't made for people who only weigh 95 pounds! Thank you. The 2.5 hour show was a happy, sing-along ride down music memories. So glad to... Let me begin by saying that visit to Boston Opera House is a treat. It's not the same grand scale as Metropolitan Opera or European theaters. Yet, it is decorated with "old world" charm and flare. It is conveniently located in and easy to incorporate into a nice evening/outing in town. We went to see Shen Yun with another family... More

The Boston Opera House has all the charm and beauty of the past. It is very ornate with amazing wall and ceiling paintings. The acoustics are great and there is not a bad seat in the house. It shows some of the really great performances out there today.

Great tour, the head sets worked well & our tour leader was great. It would have been good to have been able to walk around a little more (like down into the concert stage area) where all the pipes are, etc but there was someone setting up so we couldn't. Highly recommend the 1 hour tour thou.

We went to enjoy the Lion King here and were not disappointed. The seats were tight in then balcony but when the show started we moved to the mezzanine and the seats were more cushy there. We loved the place and the show!

Along with Symphony Hall, the Opera House is a beautiful theater, both are worth visiting in Boston. It's older, so facilities might not be convenient. Bathrooms are in the basement, lots of steps (there is one elevator) and not a lot of public space. But the public space is beautiful, everywhere you look. Saw the 'Nutcracker'. Well done, my first... More
