Wonderful place to see Broadway tours. Theater is ornate and beautiful. As special as seeing a show in New York.

This was an amazingly beautiful building! I was just thankful to be inside it! My husband surprised me for my birthday with tickets to The Lion King. It was one of my favorite movies and soundtracks as a child, so I was deliriously impressed to say the least. There is just such grandeur in the details that it takes your... More

My husband and I enjoyed the "Lion King" this past weekend and the show was obviously held here or I wouldn't be reviewing it;) The building was stunning! I know that they have put a lot of money into the renovations of this building and it shows. The seats were pretty comfortable, typical theater seats and like other reviewers have... More

The theater is breathtaking inside, dripping with chandeliers and very fancy looking. We went hoping to get rush tickets, but those are only available to college students from the area. We did buy "balcony seats" near the back for a 50$ showing of the lion king. Luckily, not a seat in the theater has an obstructed view.

The Boston Opera House is a well-maintained, comfortable venue. I really enjoyed a recent trip there. We saw The Lion King, and the play itself was quite good. The venue offered fairly comfortable seats that afforded more leg room than similar venues in the area. We were in the Mezzanine and I thought the views were quite good. We could... More

Have seen several shows in this venue, most recently the Lion King and the Nutcracker. Beautifully maintained since it's renovation in the early 2000's and the architecture is stunning. If you're seeing a show there however be cognizant of where the sound booth is in relation to your seats-- during the most recent show we went to it cast the... More

We went to see the Lion King today. This place is SO beautiful. Simply stunning. We sat in the mezzanine right section row L. The actual seat was roomy and I'm not a skinny minnie so this was nice. Unfortuantly the rows were close together so my knees were smashed up against the seat in front of me. I'm only... More

Went to see Phantom and totally enjoyed the complete experience. The architecture is amazing. The interior is like a Greek or Roman palace its so ornate. Not a bad seat in the house. We had a great time and the Phantom of the Opera was exceptional

We saw one of the last shows of Phantom, and it was wonderful. The gentleman playing the lead was terrific, Raoul was also exceptional, the understudy was playing Christine and she was just a bit overwrought in the role...her voice was lovely, she just over played some scenes (this was the fifth production of Phantom I have seen, including the... I went here for Phantom of the Opera and the Opera House itself was as spectacular as the performance! You know in those movies or games that took place in the 1700s, the opera houses were elaborately and elegantly decorated? Expect the same for Boston Opera House, and get ready to be blown away by its beauty! Despite its antique... More
