I had a very nice afternoon with the tour guide, Alyssa, visiting places and strolling through neighborhoods I never would have otherwise. It was a nice way to get introduced to some good local eateries and shops and to learn about the history and development of the this part of Boston. My favorite was the sandwich at Parish Cafe! More

Even on an overcast day this tour was great! Our tour guide was really friendly and informative about the area and the food. She even made recommendations for places to try after the tour, which we did and were very pleased with! You can be accomodated for if you are vegetarian, which was a plus for me! And we requested... I'm a local but haven't spent much time in the South End - this tour made me realize it's a hidden gem. The tour was the perfect way to spend an afternoon -- great food, really interesting history about the area, and a quaint setting. I highly recommend this tour to visitors and locals! More

Really enjoyed this walk round historic South Boston visting 6 interesting foodie shops or restaurants/cafes. Our guide showed us some of the interesting places in South Boston and explained their history very clearly and in a interesting manner. We sampled the food in 6 places from fantastic cookies to the best fried clams. If you enjoy your food, like walking... More

I have been on food tours in many cities and I have to be honest and say that this one was not my favorite. PROS: Alyssa, the owner, is a GREAT tour guide and gave many interesting tidbits about the South Side. She has a lot of personality! CONS: not enough food -- first and last stop had decent amount... Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Based on the notes you left on the comment card at the end of the tour: "Great tour. Great Food. Great Guide!", we were disappointed to learn from this review that the tour did not meet your expectations as fully as we had initially thought. In order to respond to... More

Starting at the Parish Cafe, we had their meatloaf club which was very good. Next stop was Orinoco and a bacon wrapped date stuffed with a nut, almond I think. After that we were on to Flour's Bakery (I hope I have the name right) for a Chunky Lola. Formaggio was next for two cheeses and while out side, Jamie... More

Really enjoyed the casual stroll in Boston's south end. Alyssa imparts some great history about the neighbourhood and local cuisine. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon n rain or shine. By the time we finished, I was sufficiently sufficed by the tastings. Highly recommend this tour...great value and fun food samplings. More

Would thoroughly recommend this tour. The guide was fun, friendly and very informative. She provided interesting facts and snippets about the area as we walked from eating house to eating house. Food samples ranged in size - some more substantial than others but all delish. Some establishments are small so the tour stays outside. We had sunny weather so no... More

Alyssa, as the owner of this wonderful enterprise, will guide you to memorable restaurants in the South End. Her chefs will feed your body, while her delightful stories of those chefs, will feed your mind. A true professional, warmly personal to her "charges", while carefully negotiating streets and sidewalks, aware of and respectful to the residents of this welcoming community.... More
