Walking Boston is Boston’s only historic tour given by a children’s book author and Boston historian with family ties to the Sons of Liberty and Paul Revere. Imagine yourself touring Boston with an actual relative of the legendary Paul Revere! Ben Edwards is a creative and engaging tour guide who offers private tours at a comfortable pace. His private guided walking tours for groups and families provide a personalized approach ensuring plenty of time for questions and the flexibility to stay longer at many of the sites. « less

Along with my wife and two children, one 16 and the other 20,I spent an entire day walking Boston from the Commons to Bunker Hill including a stop at the Parker House and lunch with Mr. Ben Edwards. Mr. Edwards did a great job engaging the kids in Boston history and basically entertaining all of us with an unforgettable experience.... More

In October 2013. our private school group of 35 from Rosemary Beach, Florida had the privilege of having Ben Edwards as our guide for our Fall Learning Trip in Boston. We had a full day tour of Boston walking the Freedom Trail with Ben. I cannot even begin to express how much knowledge and enthusiasm Ben has for Boston. Every... More

My husband and I did a walking tour with Ben on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Ben is passionate about his family history and about Boston, and it was a delight to walk with him. We stopped for a lovely break at the Omni Parker for Boston cream pie, and covered all the major points on the Freedom Trail. If we... More

Our extended family of 10 recently visited Boston, including 4 children ranging in age from 9 to 15 years old. It is sometimes a challenge to find activities that everyone will enjoy, especially educational ones. Ben did a great job of keeping everyone engaged, prepared with several fun activities that were just for the kids. He was extremely knowledgeable about... More

Our first stop was Boston and I signed up the tour with Ben Edwards not really knowing what to expect. Ben was amazing and gave us the best, most informative, entertaining, fun, surprising and extensive tour of... More

Ben is truly one of the most engaging tour guides we have ever encountered anywhere! We did an all day tour with our 9 year old son, and Ben made sure that he kept all of us both interested and entertained. He had so many historical documents for us to view as well. I would absolutely recommend this tour to... More

I was there in 1776 and signed the Declaration Of Independence...well actually my daughter did. We had a great tour with Ben....he made history come alive. The visits to the Cemeteries and Churches made me feel like i was in Boston in the late 1700's. Ben's extensive knowledge of Boston's history and ties put a personal touch on the tour... More

We really enjoyed our time with Ben. He has a lot of information and is flexible enough to deal with changes and issues as they arise. He has a good sense of humor and was fun to be with. We brought two "kids" - 14 and 12 with us. We were about at the limit of their ability to absorb... More
