Description: Walking Boston offers a fun, private, educational tour of historic Boston...
Walking Boston offers a fun, private, educational tour of historic Boston. Very entertaining & informative guide. Walking Boston is Boston’s only historic tour given by a children’s book author and Boston historian with family ties to the Sons of Liberty and Paul Revere. Imagine yourself touring Boston with an actual relative of the legendary Paul Revere! Ben Edwards is a creative and engaging tour guide who offers private tours at a comfortable pace. His private guided walking tours for groups and families provide a personalized approach ensuring plenty of time for questions and the flexibility to stay longer at many of the sites.

We took a tour of "Boston After Dark," and though the spookiness was marginal, the guide was informed, personable, and showed us a part of the city that, even if we had seen, we wouldn't have known the history thereof. Definitely recommended if you like history and architecture!

My husband Scot, and nephew Shawn and I (Suzan) went on this historical tour with Ben Edwards. It was one of my best days of my life! Our family loves all Early American history and Ben Edwards delivered like no other! Sally Edwards his Great X was married to Paul Revere. He knows this history better than anyone will ever... More

As a homeschooling family, we thoroughly enjoyed Ben’s multifaceted tour of the Freedom Trail. He approaches the tour with a personal passion born out of his Edwards family Boston roots with Revere family ties and engaged our children 6, 9 and 17 at every turn with the historical and relevant items he carries with him throughout the afternoon. He maintained... More

Ben conducts a professional, entertaining, and educational tour with several additional "surprises" that positively enhance the experience. His family connection to the Boston historical scene is interesting and adds a sense of connection to the tour as he shares his stories. I do not want to steal Ben's thunder by listing the "extras", but we found his tour to be... More

Ben had a great way of engaging our two young teens as we walked the trail. He had lots of interesting bits of info, along with a really nice collection of old photos and newspapers. I particularly appreciated the tips/info he gave us regarding Lexington & Concord, which was another site we wanted to tour.

My husband, 11 year-old daughter and I spent a wonderful time with Ben exploring the Freedom Trail. Ben is a knowledgable, experienced and passionate guide -- is thrilled to answer any questions and keeps everyone engaged. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour -- highly recommend as a "must" for your visit to Boston.

The guide was very knowledgeable. A Must if you want an overview of the History of Boston. There are a few different types of tours. Check online

We spent 3.5 wonderful hours with Ben Edwards on a beautiful afternoon in late November. He is extremely talented in his ability to engage and captivate both kids and adults alike. It's a great overview of Boston, with some very special personal touches - I would *highly* recommend it, especially for families.

We wanted to see the historical highlights of Boston. Before the tour Ben learned a little about us and tailored the tour to our interests and needs (we had an infant with us). My husband and I had a great time and really enjoyed Ben's style and knowledge. Our 10-year old was engaged the whole time and was so excited... More

Ben Edwards takes you on an adventure on the Freedom Trail and more. Having been to Boston before and taking a few tours (with too many people to even hear the narration) I knew there had to be something better, I saw a couple having a private tour and knew that was for me. I was returning to Boston with... More
