Walking Boston is Boston’s only historic tour given by a children’s book author and Boston historian with family ties to the Sons of Liberty and Paul Revere. Imagine yourself touring Boston with an actual relative of the legendary Paul Revere! Ben Edwards is a creative and engaging tour guide who offers private tours at a comfortable pace. His private guided walking tours for groups and families provide a personalized approach ensuring plenty of time for questions and the flexibility to stay longer at many of the sites. « less

Ben is a great tour guide. Our group of 5 had very nice time and felt as if he tailored the tour to us. It wasn’t route, nor did it feel like he was just going though the same script he gives for every tour. He is very knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor and is generous with his... More

My wife and I booked a private tour with Ben on the first day of our Boston stay. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Ben is a wonderful tour guide and adds great insights into Boston history including discussion of his Boston ancestors. Touring with Ben made the sights we visited come alive. Ben... More

This tour made our trip to Boston a memorable one! We connected with Ben near a T-line station downtown and walked through Boston gaining insight into the exciting history, venues and colorful people of Boston! The tales Ben wove were interesting, fun and insightful. He is a remarkable tour guide with a past family connection to Boston's history. Ben is... More

My husband and I and our thirteen-year old twins, a boy and a girl, recently visited Boston. Ben provided our family with a personal, interactive, fact-filled and fun-filled tour that we are still talking about. He shows great enthusiasm and pride about America's history, as well as, his family's past. We really enjoyed stepping back in time at the Parker... More

My wife and I had 5 enjoyable days in Boston. Before leaving from Norway we had done some research and found Ben's WEB pages. We contacted Ben and asked if the two of us would make up a small group, and he was more than happy to take care of us. The 6 hour tour of historic Boston passed so... More

My husband and I just returned from our first visit to Boston. While there we wanted to experience the history and culture of the city. We booked Ben for a walking tour and were so immpressed with his enthusiasm, knowledge and captivating account of the history! We were able to see and do things the regular tours didn't, which really... More

Ben does a great job of speaking about the Freedom Trail and the history of Boston! He incorporates his family history and some very interesting historical documents along the way. He even let us stop for a little bit to sample the Parker House famous Boston Cream Pie! Definitely a great addition to your Boston trip. More

During my children's spring break, our entire family visited Boston and took a full day walking tour with Ben. This was truly the highlight of our trip. Ben shared many anecdotes and interesting facts about each stop on our tour. He is highly knowledgeable and presented his information in such an engaging manner. We learned so much and had lots... My wife, our 11 year old daughter and I had the pleasure of taking a full day tour with Ben. I think our daughter was a little apprehensive about taking a "history tour" (a little too much like school during her Spring Break), but Ben made the tour interesting for her. He was very organized, and at nearly every point... More

We recently took the tour with Ben and had a really enjoyable time. My boys, ages 12 and 14, actually listened and participated and said it was the highlight of our week in Boston. Thanks Ben for being so great with them. P.S. Getting a copy of the Declaration of Independance with their names on it was a nice touch.... More
