We provide great Private Tours using sedans,SUV,vans, Limo or buses. Our guides are all Local, mature and well-educated. We can meet you at your hotel, or the airport or at the Cruise-ship pier. Private Tours are a great way to see hilly Boston, in particular, because with our smaller vehicles,we have access to the "off the beaten" track neighborhoods and to the "hidden Boston" which you cannot see from a tour trolley or bus ( which are prohibited entry to residential areas of this 400 year old city), including our "Little Italy" and the 3rd largest Chinatown in the USA. Tours can be tailor made to meet most requests, and we can take you to see where Americas Revolution began in Lexington, and Concord, visit homes of authors, see Walden Pond and Harvard University ( which Gen. Washington borrowed to use as Americas first army base 1775 ), visit botanical or horticultural gardens and cemeteries, view interesting architecture, colleges ( more than 100 colleges/universities in Greater Boston !), Also Fenway Park, the Cheers Bar, site of 1st World Series, Freedom Trail and much, much more. Also, we provide private tours to Salem, the "Witch City" and to Newport,RI, coastal Maine,Cape Cod and Autumn foliage tours to Southern NH and Vermont. We love School group tours, half our guides have teaching certificates, several are published authors, and former National Park Guides, also,we accommodate handicapped visitors. Fees are reasonable. We also provide limited, long duration ,New England and the islands, overnight tours as well, please inquire.

This was our first time using Boston Private Tours and we had a great experience. I would highly recommend using them for a great, education tour. We were able to customize the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. This maximized our time with our peak interests, and our tour guide Dave made some additional recommendations that fit into... Very interesting guide,David, who knows the most interesting places to see and visit in the city, as well as out in the country, where we toured Plymouth Rock and Plymouth Plantation, saw where the Pilgrims landed in 1620, and visited a wonderful stockaded village, which is staffed with superb guides in period clothing…Plymouth Plantation. But with this BostonPrivateTours.com, we also... More

I have very rarely given a poor review ...I always give people the benefit of the doubt...BUT I have traveled extensively and had many many guides but this time I was terribly disappointed. This was supposed to be a CUSTOM private tour of 10 women. I SPECIFICALLY asked if their guides could do an ART tour of the Fogg Museum... More

We were very sorry that you were disappointed in your tour. We exchanged several emails and phone calls prior to this 2 hour walking tour for your ladies book club. We rarely include admission to museums in our fee and in this case where the fee collected was less than the $150 admission to the Fogg museum it would not... More

We decided to take a private tour of Boston. Even though my son is a student at BU, he enjoyed the inside information that our guide,Dave McDonough, was able to give us. There was a lot of laughter and thoughtfulness in our tour. Having been to Boston many times, I finally found out how the tea party came about, and... More

Last fall I read a wonderful article in the Boston Globe which featured this fantastic company and the suggestion of purchasing an experience as a gift for a loved one rather than another material item. My elderly parents have travelled the world without necessarily learning very much about all there is in Boston and the surrounds. I thought this was... More

Boston Private Tours is the only way to go when you are in a new city and want to visit surrounding attractions. My husband and I were visiting Boston, had limited time and wanted the convenience of someone driving us to visit the Newport, RI Mansions. Our driver, Svjena, was fabulous as she told us about sites to and from... More

We booked a tour of Boston, Cambridge, Lexington and Concord. Because we didn't have a rental car the tour gave us a chance to visit Lexington and Concord. Having a guide got us to the historical sites and supplied us with lots of information. I would suggest booking the tour on one of your first days in the area so... More

I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first trip to Boston!!! My Tour Guides David Phillips, Bill McDonough and Michelle Hocking did a fantastic job!! I got to see more of Boston, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island than what it said I was going to be able to experience on the website. I'll definitely use them... More

I worked with Michelle at Boston Private Tours to set up three days of private touring with our granddaughter. We had excellent, knowledgeable tour guides that geared their presentations to a twelve year old. They were all flexible and very accommodating by picking us up in Cambridge and delivering us back after a full day of touring. I think this... More

If your group is visiting Boston for the first time you should put Boston Private Tours on your short list of activities to enjoy. We visited Boston at the most challenging time of the year - early February - in the midst of perhaps the snowiest winter on record for Boston. The frigid weather and snow clogged roads were no...
