I bought a gift certificate for my father for Christmas for a PhotoWalk because he was interested in learning how to use his new camera. My son and I went along with him and it was so much more than we expected. Saba had great information about the Back Bay's history and it's architecture. I am familiar with Boston since... More

I spent a wonderful afternoon with Saba on my first trip to Boston. We covered a variety of areas across the city (Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Boston Common, Downtown Crossing) with Saba providing interesting historical and modern context whilst identifying great photo opportunities. I hope to return to Boston in the summer and will definitely book another tour on my... More

I was here again in Boston and I had go back for another round with PhotoWalks. My past experience was a workshop on night photography this past summer. Saba is truly a dedicated professional in teaching and pointing out techniques to follow. I took the Back Bay tour for the photography and for the historical information that Saba gave. It... More

After enjoying the PhotoWalk tour of the North End, I signed up for the tour of Beacon Hill with my parents who were visiting from Denver and, once again, Saba did not disappoint! My dad really enjoyed all of the interesting historical information and side notes that Saba provided and my mom had so much fun experimenting with her fancy... More

My husband and I did the Beacon Hill tour with Saba in mid October. We really enjoyed Saba's enthusiasm for photography and Boston as well as her eye for creating unique photographs. She inspired us to look at Boston in a different way throughout the remainder of our time there. She was very informative with simple ways to take better... More

Loved seeing Boston from a different angle. The perspectives provided by Saba were eye opening to me. Lived in Boston for quite some time and thought I saw it all, until this trip. Definitely worth going to if you are new to photography and looking to capture Boston from a new perspective.

I've lived in Boston for 6 years, and am a frequent visitor to the Copley area. Despite this, the Saba made the tour very exciting and informative! She was enthusiastic and you could tell this was her passion. I got to see the back bay area through different eyes and learned a bunch of new tips about my camera and... More

Saba was very informative, and gave wonderful creative hints on our tour of Beacon Hill. Some of our tour had iPhones, and others had higher-end camera equipment, but the tour suited all abilities. It was a fun way to see the area, and I would definitely book another tour the next time we are in Boston!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
