All the shows we've seen here have been great. Love the atmosphere and being up close to the band. Usually have a bite to eat before heading in to the show, too.
The only thing that's good about this place are the music and bands that are willing to play. If you even remotely don't like the band that is playing here, you might as well stay home because everything about this venue is questionable. For example why do I have to wait in 3 consecutive lines just to get inside? Why... More
Saw Trombone Shorty and Avenue Orleans on January 18. Awesome talent. As an older couple we probably shouldn't have stood so close to the stage as the music was very loud and the young people wanted to dance in a space that was too small. But overall it was a great night.
Went to see Jake Bugg with 2 teenagers this past weekend. They were in the standing room only area and I had a seat. I couldn't see them from where I was seated but felt that they were in a very safe environment so I was comfortable with the setup. Excellent acoustics. Bouncers were very helpful. The parking next door... More
Drove 2 hrs to a place that was said to be open and wasn't..... But after reading the reviews and viewing the restaurant, I'm glad it was closed..... I was spoiled by the Orlando House of Blues, apparently.... I would call to complain about the host staff, but this review does it justice....
Been fortunate to see a ton of shows all over the country. House of Blues was a decent place but nothing exceptional. No problems with security or staff as other Trip Advisor contributors report, in fact had my 10 year old daughter with me and some of the security personal asked her if she enjoyed herself. Sound quality was decent... More
The staff and security were so rude I will never go back. Made me wait 20 minutes while they took my id into a back room without telling me why just said "go away" and wouldn't give their names.
Rude staff and security! The security picked people out of line to give them a hard time by their looks so I won't be surprised if you see them on the news for discrimation! We went to the Mez which was awful and couldn't see the show. Then I couldn't leave for a smoke no re entry. Then I got... More
Saw my first show here ever and really enjoyed it. I was skeptical about going because I thought the acoustics would be horrible in this small venue, but I was wrong. Loved the intimate setting and the show was amazing. the bathrooms are noth the cleanest, but they never really are at a concert, I don't think. Beers a a... More
Went here for dinner before a Red Sox game. Much smaller and different set up than some of the other House of Blues restaurants I've been to. Perhaps I was spoiled by Atlantic City and West Hollywood venues but this one was much smaller and had a very odd set up. I can't really say that it even felt like... More
