This was my first trip to Boston and I had only two days to experience the city. After reading reviews of this tour I felt this would be time well spent. Definitely not disappointed, this was the true highlight! Jim was our tour aficionado, a retired chef, a grand personality and extremely knowledgeable not only with the places we visited... More

Had a great time with Jim, a former chef, on a wed. Afternoon walking tour! He showed us the Ins and outs of North end from where to shop to what are the best restaurants to try! If you have an afternoon to spend in the North end I suggest this tour! It was only my boyfriend and I on... More

Best assortment of Italian restaurants in the country. Over 150 just in the north end. Pizza one day on Hanover st, lunch at Massiminos another day was wonderful.

There were 4 of us that took this tour. We took it about a month ago and we all are STILL talking about it. This tour is not a food tour, never has been never will be. If your want food and a tour then take their China Town tour. We arrived early and went and had a drink. Our... More

We took this tour on Sat of Labor Day weekend and the weather was perfect. Al was our guide (he did an excellent job!) and began with a history of the North End of Boston. The first stop was Maria's Pastry Shop and learned about various pastries and sampled 6 kinds. We will definitely return for a cannoli. Next stop... More

This was great for anyone interested in a little bit different thing to do in Boston. Visit 6-7 stores, taste the goods, hear the history and about the neighborhood and the food, i.e. pasta, olive oil, bread, desserts, etc. And get restaurant recommendations.

We had Al as our tour guide, and he was wonderful...very informative and engaging. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood, the markets, and the food. The samplings of food were great. I highly recommend this tour. We learned a lot and had lots of fun along the way.

I took this tour with my mom and my sister and we had a great experience. We learned a lot about the history of the area and the Italian cuisine. The food samples were delicious too. We went back to the North End the next day to buy some of the products we sampled. I would recommend this tour to... More

The North End Market Tour is very informative and opens your eyes to what the Italian culture, history, way of living & just plain eating is so missed in the American way of life. This was our second tour for my wife & I and even better than the first time. We were fortunate to have Michele again as our... More

We have taken a number of food tours in our travels, so I made sure to check out the possibilities for my recent Boston trip. This was an excellent tour, lead by a lively, knowledgeable former chef, our guide (Jim) to the historic North End. We learned almost as much of the history in small bites, as we did the... More
