I still remember it. It was a very moving experience to stand on the deck of the Navy's first commissioned vessel. I don't remember if there was a museum at that time - I know we didn't visit it if there was. I highly recommend visiting this proud old ship and experiencing history first hand. more

Living history at its best and it was FREE! Quaint little museum, nice gift shop and a selfguided tour above deck. If we had been able to wait another 15-20 minutes we would have taken the guided tour below deck. It is an amazing ship with amazing history. more

I visited Old Ironsides with my husband and three children, ages 14, 12 and 8. The security was not a big deal, just put metal in the bin and go through the screener.
